I read a book called "Embraced by the Light" which is about a life after death experience. In her book she died, went to heaven and re-united with people she knew b4 she was even born. She said that she recoginezed them and were happy to see them again although she never seen them since she was a spirit waiting to come to earth. She says that all people were spirits b4 they came to earth and were with God when he created it. She says that we come to earth to grow spiritually and to have a relationship with God thru Jesus christ and with other people. This is something i want to believe b/c it would have a big impact on my spiritual views and walk but nowhere in the Bible says this or talks about it(i havnt seen anything). Has anybody else heard about this, if so pllz tell me what u kno/believe. And why would God erase our memory about this experience once on Earth?

How do you know she didn't make it all up? I mean really? Think of the book selling capabilities...hey wait wait...I have a good one..I am writing a book about how Jesus and how he came and talked to me...and it had to be him because he talked about people in the bible..so obviously he was the real jesus.

This is a cornerstone of my belief system. We don't remember because then we couldn't make the mistakes we need to make in order to learn. The earth is the big schoolhouse. We were all with God when the earth was created. It's also part of the belief in reincarnation, karma..so many things. That is a very short question for which there is no short answer. We do tend to be born over and over with the same people though. You ever met someone for the first time and instantly felt that you liked them already, or you disliked them already for no cause you can think of. Well that fits into this belief. This belief system makes the most sense of all that I have studied, and I have studied a lot. I have never had a time in my life that I did not absolutely KNOW God, Jesus, and a few angels. Honest. This is really too deep to go into here. Why don't you email me and see if we can find an easier way to discuss this? I am probably going into the hospital tomorrow for a knee replacement, but I will get back to you as soon as I can. I know for me, finding the kind of info you found changed my life forever, for the better, and with clarity. It just makes sense when you learn more about it, and don't judge it before all info is in.

Near death experiences happen for two or three minutes, before one is brought back with their stories. Technically speaking the brain can survive abour 8 minutes without blood feed before it shuts down or returns to activity with severe damage. In a few cases wheresomeone was chilled right down by falling through ice in a lake they were revived an hour or so later since the icy conditions slowed body matabolism.

That being said, there has never ever been a case where a person was brought back to life a day or a week, especially after rigamortis hasd set in. The day this happens I'll start listening to these stories a lot more intently. In short, people with these experiences are not really technically dead.

Noone can confirm or deny that this individual actually had this experience. One can confirm, that noone knows, what its like to actually die, without actually doing it. COMPLETELY. Many accounts have been made about white lights and an easing feeling and meeting up with dead loved ones. If any superior on earth had the answers to your questions then they alone would be God. Unfortunately, we are just human beings put on this earth. Do you hear me? HUMAN BEINGS. We are not to know of your Gods plan, that is why, WE ARE HUMAN BEINGS. We are just left with a bible, and not everything in the bible is certain. I think its left to you my friend. I would not encourage going by what someone else feels. You should go by what your heart tells you. Relying on faith, is not something a book can give you or someone else making the decision for you. It rests on you. Do you have faith that God exists? Do you have faith there is something beyond a true death? Did you read this book, because you yourself "FEAR" death like many people in this world do, and were hoping for some confirmation by anyone, that death is not empty, its filled with more then just fear? Then, thats where faith comes in. I, by any means, have no answer for you my friend. For I, am only human.

I'm a Christian, and I have never heard that... I don't really believe it because it is not stated in the Bible that we were spirits before birth. We stay in our mother's womb before birth, not with God.
I have a question though- how could it be a factual story if ther person has already died? Unless they came back to life, there is really no way of anyone knowing. Is it a fictious book? I need more info, but I don't really believe it.

I would stick to the Bible, God's Holy Word. As the Bible teaches, we are created in his image placed in our mother's womb. The Bible talks a lot about life after death, but never before birth. I think that if that was anything significant, it would have been mentioned in the Bible somewhere.

I don't believe in reincarnation. Once around in this mortal life is surely enough. I believe in the Trinity, the Holy Catholic Church the Communion of Saints, the forgiveness of sins, the Resurrection of the Body and the everlasting life with God without being absorbed into God or whatever.

It sounds like she was either delusional or she was under the influence of seducing spirits trying once again to subvert the truth of God and to lead people away from Jesus.

Basically, it's all a bunch of bunk. It's like when Sylvia Browne gets on Montel Williams' show and tells people that their lost loved ones are in Heaven with God regardless of whether or not they trusted in Jesus for their salvation.

My advice would be to throw that book away and pick up the Bible. Just because the woman talks about having a relationship with Jesus doesn't do anything but put the veneer of respectability on it. The Devil specializes in perverting God's truth in order to make the Lake of Fire a crowded place.

The verses in the Bible about God knowing us before we were born have to do with the fact that God exists outside of time. Here's a passage that talks about that but it doesn't even try to say that we were "spirits with God" before coming to earth.

"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places, even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him. In love he predestined us for adoption through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of his will, to the praise of his glorious grace, with which he has blessed us in the Beloved. Ephesians 1:3-6

Yes. Believe it. Remember what Jesus said in the bible. In three day I will be back. But really in another life. That's why he came back to tell us. But he had to go to where he was send too. Haven. Look trust in god and believe in him.Did this help you.
