I want plain-carbon (medium carbon is best) steel, not stainless, not galvanized. I just want flat pieces for a project I'm doing. Will Home Depot or OSH have that or do I need to go to a more specialized place (such as...)?

I have this great piece of drift wood that I've had lying around for years, I've managed to carve the general shape of a blade, and even a nice thumb grip. I don't want to destroy the wood, so before I commit, is it possible to carve a fine and sharp blade from wood using only a pocket knife? How long did it take before you became good at the art? Can an amateur create a nice and functional piece?

The smell of incense still revolts,

My friends wife is from guatemala and I would like to make a nice 4 course authentic guatemalan meal. Salad, appetizer, main dish (with sides) and dessert.

Also, what are the right drinks? (Alcoholic and not). Beer? Wine? Is there such a thing as Guatemalan mixed drinks? I would prefer mixed drinks before dinner and then beer or wine with dinner.

I have got the .iso file of Damn Small Linux-N. I am currently using Windows XP and want to try it out. How should I go about using DSL-N from here I have no idea. Please explain in simple steps.
