after i had my hysterectomy(i have no children) my nephew gave me a mother's day card telling me that he loved me like a mother because i've always been there for him throughout his life. i cannot describe the feeling he gave me that day. it brought tears to my eyes. it let me know that you don't have birth to someone to be a mother figure to them.

Sunny Sunday afternoon at a restaurant in Manhattan Beach Ca. The whole family was there to clebrate a birthday. Just looking around at my children and grandchildren and hearing them laugh and sing was like a big slice of heaven. I honestly thought-if I were to die tomorrow, it would be ok.

When each of my children were born, when I knew my husband was the one, when he angrily told me that him, me and our kids were the only things that mattered to him and the rest of the world can go F******* themselves, when I got that dream job and had the ability to say no, I want to be home with my kids.
When my husband said lets buy a house.

the day my husband and i were married 25 years ago. surrounded by family and friends, small intimate wedding in my grandmothers home and then dancing at the country(music) club we met at and then off to the local HOJO on the beach for our wedding night.

getting my current job...i didn't think i had any chance whatsoever because i didn't know anything about the business or how things worked...it's hard to find a $70k+ a year job without having gone to college
