Yes, God told them to not do it. But what reason would they have to doubt another part of creation? They had no knowledge of good and evil until they ate. The serpent deceived them, but why would they doubt it? It didn't say, "Don't obey God!" It said, "Eat this, it will make you wise and more like God" And if they really admired God so much, wouldn't they want to be like him?

I imagine some people will just continue to say, "They disobeyed God, so they deserved punishment." Maybe... but I ask you to really consider the above. Also, if God is really so great and they had direct knowledge of and experience with him, why would they ever disobey?

Now that I think about it, if disobedience is evil, how could they know that what they were doing is wrong if they hadn't eaten yet to know good from evil?

I like what you guys teach about the bible and Jesus being a creation by Jehovah, but I'm a little confused on what your beliefs are about the end. I think you guys predicted the end a few times and nothing happened. and now you say that the generation of 1914 will see the end. Do you guys still teach that or have your teachings changed about the end. Also who is in charge of making these predictions?

Please only Jehovah's witnesses answer this. I don't want other christian sects mocking JW's. I think Christians who belief in a three-headed Trinitirian God and a hell are ignorant to the truth. Thanks.

So far, Im aware of a few :

1) Pre big bang, what happened, what kicked it off, is it even knowable.

2) What is the reason certain constants are the value they are? For example, why does light go as fast as it does? Yes I know you could say it's based on properties of a vacuum, but if you dig, you come to a constant eventually, and it is these 'unbreakable', or 'prime number like' constants that just happen to be as they are with no known reason.

I know there are questions about gravity, and its details, what are they?

The current standing of physics seems to be much like the very early 1900s. Everything seems about ready to wrap up, except for a feeeew teeny weeny little problems. These small problems were ripped open, exposing a new, fascinating, and deeper understanding of the universe.

i worked for years as a supply teacher, doing long term / short supply but a year ago the school where i worked liked me enougth to keep me, i am in a wonderful dept with lots of support, but due to the year of supply my proffesional development has suffered and i lack confidence in delivering my subject area, despite being told by the school they are happy with what i do , they have promised to send me on courses, is there any good website or course one could do like a refresher course in art.. any suggestions! i must also mention i am coming from a pgce fe crossing over to secondary school.

I stay home cause I go to college and it is easier for me to survive, but I want to leave and feel like I should cause my parents fight all the time. Most of the time it is just loud nasty arguments, but today it got physical and I had to break it up. I thought my father was going to kill her. A couple of times I almost got hurt. I don't know what to do, they have been together 29 years and this is something that no matter how often you see it you can't get used to it. I don't want to see it, I don't want to live it, I just don't know what to do. I have siblings but they can't do anything, they are younger then me. I can't really tell my friends and family too ashamed. Any suggestions?

Found a baby sparrow in the yard today..barely able to flutter..(not really fly yet)..have it in a tall cage right now, but it doesnt even fly up to the branches..it can hop up to the food dish I put very low..I put wild bird seed in it , also provided a bird dish with water, it could reach..any other things I need to provide? It stays mostly on the floor, and hops around, or tucks its head under its wing, and sleeps on the floor.Should I give it a little nest to sit in, on the floor (a small dish with cotton or tissues?) Any help would really be appreciated!!
