When I was in high school, I had mild to moderate breakouts. I started using Proactiv and loved it. That's been about 8 years ago. I still had the occassional breakout, but overall my skin looked great and felt great. Recently, I started using the Mary Kay Timewise line at the persistence of my sister, who is now a Mary Kay consultant. Well, I've been on it for about 2 weeks and my face is beginning to break out pretty bad. My sister says that that's a good thing, because it is cleaning out my pores....? She told me to give it a few more weeks to see an improvement. (which by then, who knows what my face will look like, if her theory is wrong) Anyway, I don't know if I'm buying the whole "cleaning out your pores" thing. Would it take two weeks to start doing that? And my face was perfectly fine before. I didn't know there was anything to clean out. I'd like to give it a chance, because of the supposed age-fighting benefits. Does anyone have any opinions on this?

I'm a senior in college, I'm attending undergrad through May 09' due to the 150hr requirement for CPA's... and I have 4 years of schooling after that (part-time) while I'm working.

I have no money, I cannot find a summer job, I have living expenses to worry about... an $80,000 undergraduate tuition bill, and a soon to be masters degree bill that will cost me $55,000.

I'm worried about finances now and in the future.
I heard I can expect 30-40k for my first five years...
I'm in trouble. Plus my grades aren't that great (3.2)

Any advice???

He and she went on a blind date. They were sitting in a restaurant having coffee. They found they were not comfortable with each other . Both were bored, when his phone rang. He said excuse me and went out to hear the phone. soon he returned. "Sorry i have to go my father is very sick."
"thanks" she said,"if yours wouldn't have been sick, soon mine would have been."

The brutality in our streets, the routine killings around the discotheques, the proliferation of rape and violence within the family - all these have undoubtedly been influenced by the day-to-day reality of the occupation. After all, it's the same people who are doing it.

who here actually believes in evolution? It is one of the most far fetched out of thin air ideas i think anyone has ever thought of.... And why was it so widely excepted when there is no actual proof that it is real....
there are so many holes and "Missing links" that i dont understand why people trust this theory so much....

I only ever could remember one or two scenes from this movie back more than 10 years ago...

if featured giant robot mech type things where, probably in the future where people get in them and fight like gladiators in a big outdoor arena. and they have rockets and in one scene, one shoots the other with rockets and the other falls onto some glass building or something, and i remember a scene where one of the competitors is talking to someone else behind the scenes or something. My memory might be hazy, remembering things that didnt actually exist, but I swear this must have been a real movie prior to 1995 or so.

Can you help me figure out what this was? Its bugged me for years and I only started to care once I figured out this other movie I could never remember was Creepshow 2 :(

If I figure out what this robot one is, I won't have any more questions in life ever.

I only speak english. I know a few words in spanish, but I can't imagine how it would feel to speak another language fluently. So my question is: How do you think when you speak a non-native language? For me, lemonade means "lemonade" but if you're speaking spanish do you still think in english in your mind? Saying to yourself "the word I want is la limonada". Or does it just come naturally like speaking your native tongue?

If the question doesn't make sense, I apologize, but bottom line is, how does your mind work when you're fluent in another language?

There are several pieces of classical music that really move me, but now, more than 20 years since I first heard it, Mussorgsky's "Pictures at an Exhibition" still makes me cry. The actual "painting" parts don't get me, but the main theme, which is repeated between the separate paintings, is so moving I still cry when I hear it. I remember thinking once, while listening to it, that the ability to make music which sounds like that must surely be a gift of the highest order.

Is there a piece of classical music which moves you so much you feel absolutely transported when you hear it? If so, what is it?

And please note, I am not asking about contemporary music. I am asking specifically about that which falls into the category of classical. However, classical music with vocals, like Handel's "Messiah" are okay for the purpose of this question.

Thanks for your input.
