I was having a conversation today. My friend said that no matter how good the Atheist was, they would not go to heaven (she is Christian). So my question is, if one of the following were to go to hell, which would it be...

1. A nun who has devoted her entire life to the worship of God. A life spent in prayer and near solitude in a convent somewhere removed from society in general.
2. A Christian, who attended church weekly, and bible study, married a fellow Christian, raised 4 Christian children. Protested on weekends about the evils of homosexuality and petitioned for the removal of the theory of evolution from the school syllabus.
3. An Atheist who spent their entire adult life volunteering in Africa, helping save lives. Not getting paid, living in near squalor. Gunned down by the rebels.

So to the point of this question - Do people go to hell based on their beliefs or their actions (assuming of course that God and hell etc actually existed)?

I had been a faithful voter for several elections. But after the elections the people I elected failed in their promise to uplift the life of the people that I am getting so heart-broken. So I want answers from several people all-over-the-world who are voters to answer my questions. Is it still relevant to fulfill my duty as a citizen to choose the people to rule my country? Thank you.

I live in India and possess Indian passport. I recently adopted a 7 year old girl who is US citizen. She receives a subsidy of $500 a month because she is special needs girl. An interest bearing bank account in US has been opened in her name and me as a custodian jointly. Is it necessary to obtain ITIN in my name?

Please don't answer questions about the military if you've never served. You don't have a clue about what you're talking about. "A friend of my sister's ex boyfriend's brother had this happen to him" doesn't cut it.

A flywheel of mass 40kg and radius 2m, positioned so that it rotates about an horizontal axis...?

is initially at rest. A length of light string is wrapped around the flywheel with a mass of 2kg attached to the free end. The mass is initially 4m above the ground. As the mass drops, the string unwinds and the flywheel accelerates.

The question states:

At the instant the attached mass reaches the ground, a pair of brake blocks are applied and the flywheel is brought to rest in 0.2s. Given that the brake blocks are located 1.6m from the centre of gravity of the flywheel, and the coefficient of friction is 0.9, determine the normal reaction force between the flywheel and each brake block.

Usually if use of moment of inertia is required, it will quote the equation needed, however in this instance it hasn't. Is there anyway to do this without?

Thanks :)

Firstly I would like to say i'm not the sort who goes to church every sunday or anything like that. But I don't see the harm in people beliving in anything they want, I mean there not hurting anyone, so why all the negitive, (and like I said) prejudice comments?

I admit that it is annoying when you get people hammering on you door, trying to push there beleifs on you, but thats what there doing on here, (but with much worse language)

I see so many questions on here saying how stupid or whatever, but I say live and let live.
If thats what people want to do with there life, then let them, if there wrong then how does that affect anyone elce?

I would be interested in opinions from all sides, not just a one sided argument.

If you are an athiest or christian I would highly recommend watching his seminar if you can find someone who has it to borrow it from. It is VERY expensive to buy, so I borrowed it. It has almost any answer you could think of regaurding scientific theories and Christianity and also includes Fact and Evolutionary theories, (there is none) sorry evolutionists. It is so informative, it's incredible! You could answer almost any dispute by watching it. Ken Hoven was a science teacher for I think 20 years or so, and is a Christian and has dicovery theme park called Dinosaur world. You can find more info at www.drdino.com. If you've watched it: What did you think? Where you as amazed as I was at the information and power of his teachings? Everything made perfect sense and is referenced from many different sources.

When I got home from work, the display in my monitor is now too wide. The vertical part of the screen is doing fine except that it really is too wide. I tried adjusting using the PROPERTIES and changed the SETTING but it won't budge and then restoring the system of the computer by going to Accessories and clicking on SYSTEM RESTORE and selected a few days ago but still no luck. I also tried the MENU option in the monitor where you can adjust the brightness and the contrast of the monitor. I've already tried adjusting the breadth and width of the display. Im having a headache now, can anyone please help me?

I don't know how this happened but my sister was the one who used the computer last night. She must have played a game or something which made the monitor display too wide. *I have read somewhere that when you play CERTAIN games, it will automatically adjust the display on your monitor.* Maybe something like this happened. Im not blaming anyone.

Ok, I just bought my first caravan now I find I may not be able to tow it!
I have a Ford Fiesta 1.3 petrol manual box but a friend says they are not designed for towing heavy loads such as caravans. The caravan is a 4 berth 16 footer so I basically need to know, in simple answers, will my car tow the caravan? Please, no jargon or technical stuff, i've enough of that to last a lifetime!

Thank you for any help you can give folks!
