You know, I find it a bit amazing how only a week away, a UN report showed that Iran is still at the EARLY stages of low-grade uranium enrichment (this--after 2 YEARS of enrichment), has between 300-1,300 centrifuges operating, and has plans still to build a light-water nuclear reactor for the sole purpose of generating power.

Does this look like nuclear weapons proliferation to you? (Keep in mind, Bush said the same thing about Iraq too: "Saddam is 5 years away from building nuclear weapons." (2002) )

I know there are a lot of people here who want to see Iran bombed just for the sake of argument. But a recent news report suggested that if Israel were to take proactive measures against Iran, it could very well drag the US into a war against a much tougher enemy than Iraq ever was. (And also keep in mind: Iran's military hasn't been tested militarily, nor is it crippled like ours is at the moment.)

Like Candy Man or Bloody Mary or even Beetlejuice? Ha.

I know I used to hear all these rumors about not saying Bloody Mary's name when I was little and it spooked me out.

I'm looking for songs with weird meters, like 7/4 or anything else complex. I'm into good music, so try to stay away from generic whiny top 40 stuff... any alternative rock or anything else?

Some examples I know of already:

2+2=5, Pyramid Song, and Morning Bell by Radiohead (7/4, 16/8, 5/4)
5/4 by Gorillaz (obviously, in 5/4)
Money by Pink Floyd (7/4)
March of the Pigs by NIN (three measures of 7/4, then two of 4/4, so it's effectively 29/4)

I'm not Muslim, but I have friends both Christian and Muslim. My Muslim friends always say its the same God they pray too as Christians, but my Christian friends go crazy when I mention this. If they both believe in one God of the universe, then why is it so upsetting to Christians that their God is acknowledged by Muslims too??

Alan Turing was the man singlehandedly most responsible for defeating the Nazis in WWII by breaking the Germans' Enigma Code. And he also was responsible for laying down much of the groundwork for computers.

But he was a homosexual. And eventually he committed suicide because the British chose to prosecute him just for being gay, despite all that he had done to help them win the war.

So even though what he contributed to the world probably saved millions of lives back then AND has enriched your life now (you're typing entries on a device that he played a large role in developing), is he burning in hell because he was gay?

but due to the earlier problems the horse only finishes third.

The trainer is fuming and asks the jockey what went wrong. The jockey replies, "Nothing is wrong with me--it's this bloody horse. What is he--deaf or something?"

The trainer replies, "Deaf?? DEAF?? He's not deaf--he's BLIND!"

I knew he was coming to get his stuff (he called) … but after he got his stuff he drove up and down my street --- 5 Times!!!

I don’t get it … he’s got the love of his life, the new life he wants … we’re not angry at each other or anything … if anyone gets to go psycho, it should be me … I can’t see why he’d be driving up and down my street.

I'd prefer not to ask him either because he twistes stuff too much, so I always have to read between the lines anyways.

Should I be worried ... or just write it off as a freak thing?
