I love construction and would really love to go to school for engineering but I am scared of heights. When I was working construction I could never walk 2x4 walls or get close to the edge of a roof, so that is why I was wondering if it would be a waste to go to school in civil engineering or engineering tech?

Today he said that, by withholding funds from the troops (which Congress is NOT doing, by the way), Congress is actually forcing troops to stay in combat longer, and forcing other troops to return to combat sooner.

How is this possible? What money pays for this, since Congress is "withholding funding"?

Yes, I know, Reid threatened to withhold funding, but right now, nothing is bring withheld, so let's deal with the facts as they are, okay? And I'm looking for rational answers, not party-bashing. Explain, rationally, how the bill Congress passed is going to result in more troops having to be there, and for a longer period of time.

I have a terrible roomie, he never takes out the trash, never does the dishes and rarely picks up after himself. Now he wants to bring a guy over that he met from the internet hes barely known a week! He says that since hes paying half rent that hes entitled to bring people over. I told him that I didn't want strangers in the apartment. His responce?? "Well how do you think I felt when you have people over?" What the hell they are family and people I grew up with! Never in a million years would I bring some strange person over that I barely even knew! I wish he wasn't my roomie but I can't afford rent on my own and I don't know anyone thats looking to move. I have a terrible time with conflict and no matter what I say to my roomie he will just get mad at me and do one of his drama acts!
Basicaly if he doesn't get his way he turns into a biatch.
Someone help me please!

Since Europe and North America, and Africa and S. America are driftin apart from each other, would they collide in let's say couple of hundred million years?? The earth is circular, so if Europe and Africa are driftin to the right and South and North America are driftin to the left then wouldn't they meet up after a long long time??

Hi, I'm assigned to find the six trigonometric functions for a whole list of degrees and radians, but I can't figure out how to find the coordinates of a given degree or radian. For example, with 5pi/2, how do I get the "a" and "b" (I know how to get the r once I get the a and b)?

Our baby has always had an adversity to picking things up and putting it in his mouth, which has been a real blessing so far. The only thing he will actually pick up and put in his mouth is his pacifier. The problem arises with finger foods and such, he refuses anything, it doesn't matter how "tastey" it is, even his favorite food, bananas, he will not eat unless given to him on a spoon. It's gotten so bad, lately, that he won't even let US feed him finger food, unless it's on a spoon.

This isn't really a problem, except that we wonder is this going to be a problem with later development. So the question is 1.) is this going to be a problem with his develpment and 2.) is there anything we can do to get him start eating fingerfoods?

I was in a relationship that had a lot of verbal abuse and was closed to turning physical. A friend of mine thats about 73 years old I started talking to, bought a house in a low income area that i found. He told me as long as he is alive i will not have to worry about rent. He comes around maybe once a month. He's a very busy person and owns a lot of property etc. He said when he dies to just start paying rent as if i have been paying it all along to his wife. He said he used money that was in cds thats would have gone to her after he was gone. My sister thinks I should get him to just give me the house and I say no because of the fact that i know his wife will need the money when hes gone. She is totally dependent on him anyway. What do you think? I have been in the house for three years now.

Hi there, my corsa 1.2 8v is using excessive fuel. It's a 1998 model. I posted on here last night however i have had further checks on it today.
It definately isn't the head gasket as it has had a compression test, it's not the spark plugs or ht's as they have been replaced and checked. The car is still firing on 3 cylinders and is very tappy the engine. The garage told me that one of the holes on one of the tappets could be blocked as the oil was solid and gungy when i got the car. Does any body know how to unblock these? I was just going to take the rocker cover off and unblock and clean it, however the machanic said that i would have to take the head off? What do you clean inner engine parts with?
