Go to the mall, church, or anything were people are hanging out.
I'll be your friend if you would like.

I will honestly tell you it's harder and harder to find friends these days - especially good friends. It seems that people are so self-absorbed that they don't really have time for meeting new people and when they do - especially if it's guys - they aren't really looking for friends, they're looking for a quick one - you know? It's really very sad - I find more and more that people lack compassion, understanding, caring - unless of course it's you giving all those things to them. I have tried to make friends via the internet - that can be time consuming and often a waste of time because I let them know upfront that I am simply looking to meet new friends. Sometimes I go out dancing - that's also a waste of time if you are trying to just make friends - again, most of the folks in whatever club you're in are there for nothing more than meeting a one night friend. So, having said all of that, there are ways to meet friends - sometimes through work or school. Usually that's a good thing because you can get to know someone slowly, a little bit from a distance, and then determine whether or not you really want to be friends. It's tough out there - I experience it on a daily basis. Good luck.

Well, first think about what you like, how you feel, and what's important to you. Then go someplace where the activities are to your liking, or join something at school, i.e. club, sport, commitee, etc. Then, when you meet people, be friendly and see what happens. As long as you have at least one thing in common with someone, there's a chance for friendship.

If you're shy, just remember, EVERYONE has an insecurity, even if they seem sooo confident, they have something that gives them trouble. Just remember that and hopefully it will boost your own confidence.

It's simple. Just don't change for anyone one cause it's hard to stay that way.
Go out clubbing, or get a job and blend with everyone else [or any other social activity you can think of], once you start talking to someone, get their number and ask them if they want to meet up and go out sometime, pick somewhere else really busy and make more friends. Next thing you know your really popular xD
hope this helps x

its a little harder to get friends ... you know, a friendly relationship is not so easy to get, like "wanna be my friend? Ya, sure !". A true friendship is born along with time. If you are interested in making friends, look for persons who would like that. just talk with them, and most important :be you ! if they like you, you have big chances to get some true friends !

You'll get loads of friends on yahoo chat...by just chatting with them. O r you could also make friends at your place around you by being friendly and talking . If you're influential, flirty, and like to give surprises and gifts ....you'll definitely have more friends than you could even count.

First, decide what you like to do. Then go to the places where other people are doing those things. Like to read? Go to the library or bookstore. Like golf? Go to the links and see who needs a 4th. Like swimming? go to the beach or to the YMCA. Like to fish?.....and so on and so on...
