When ordering curbside service at a place like Applebee's is it customary to tip the person bringing out your food? I say no but my husband says yes, please settle this for us. If the answer's yes, how much is appropriate?

Yup, I usually tip them a couple of dollars. If you think about it, they are running back and forth, in and out, for a whole shift bringing your food to your car so you dont have to get out. I think they deserve something (especially when the weather is bad).

I've done curbside service before, and it was a treat to get a dollar. I was the one boxing up the food and walking out in the rain or snow to deliver it while they sat in their warm car. I'd tip $2 bucks for the service.

Tip them!! that is just like mean because they have to help others and they are taking out their time to serve you outside, when they could seat someone else and earn a tip. SO if you order a $55 dollar meal [[just saying]] then do 21% of that price or cheaper but at least give them something because that is practically their pay for that day.

If anyone is doing you a service and doing it well, tip them. It's just a good way to say "thanks." Seriously if that $8.99 entre had been $9.99 would you have thought twice? No. So why not at least be polite just in case?

You've obviously never worked customer service if you even think twice about this. Any time the customer does something nice it's a breath of fresh air to the worker.

YES !!
They are providing a service for a meal that you didn't shop for, prep or cook!!
A few more dollars won't kill you, right?
