I have a fellow coworker who made up a rumor that he and I slept together. I never saw him outside of the work office in the reserve center. I am a single person. I feel like my reputation has been messed-up. There are several single men and I would have liked the opportunity to date a respectful person. Now I get all kinds of nasty comments spoken to me from men as I walk down the hall; and ugly glares from the men I was interested in. What can I do? If I report it, I will make my life hell in the military. I don't know what the guy said, but I now want to transfer reserve centers. However, I don't want to run because It will make it look like his false statements about me are true.
There was one guy in particular that I was interested in, but he was standing their when others were laughing about this rumor. What can I do?

my friend, who I've been close with ever since the 7th grade is all of a sudden driving me crazy with this new found love of being nasty. She got caught by her mom using a vibrator that she stole. She's going out with my ex-boyfriend and decides to tell me so when I catch them just a week after I break up with him, and now my friend is telling me that the reason that she's not talking to me so much is because she's gotten addicted to phone sex with my ex. She's doing all of this while she is just now 16 and is a supposed christian. I don't know how to react to all of this and I don't really want to end our friendship but in a way, I do. She's changed so much and I don't know how its going to work out. Any advice?

Thank you for the sacrifices you make. I have close friends who have served or are serving in Iraq and I know what you do is not easy and often unappreciated. I personally do not support the current administrations policies but you have my full support. If someone wants to insult our Government, politics including my own political view points fine they can do that it is their right. What I will not and cannot tolerate is insults towards the noble men and women who put there lives on the line for a better tommorow. There are war opponents that groan and moan about how we should have never invaded Iraq and how our presence there is only making things worse. These people need to take into perspective the horrors that you work in and that it is honorable not to turn your back on the Iraqi people. So I thank you for all that you have done and all that you are doing and I appologize for those who ignorantly run your names in the mud.

I've been dating my bf for about a month now. I told my friends that I think I love him but don't want to say anything til I'm sure he loves me too. I joke when I ask him something and he says no, then I say 'you don't love me'. But the other day, he told off a guy who's been following me around and I said 'I love you', not really meaning it like that. He said that he loves me too. i dont know if he knew it was a joke or what. So what should I do?

After the Clinton impeachment, who got the shaft, Hillary his wife, or Gore his V.P.?

I think Hillary came out smelling like a rose even though she was the target of his extra marital affairs. Gore was kind of like the ring around the bath-tub after a tree hugger takes a bath. What are your thoughts?

In my past, i was with someonelse and i then got married to my husband...I dont regret marrying my husband, i am happy but THEY say husband and wife shud tell everything to each other so i am struggling to decide whether to tell my husband that i was with another guy before i got married to my husband...I have left my ex...I hate him...But shud i tell my husband that i slept with my ex...?! I am worried that he will think differnently about me and not love me like he does now...
But i really feel guilty not being honest with my husband...!

I am 28 and I was in the Navy for four years, as an electronics tech. I have been going to college, and I am almost finished with a BA in education. With only one semester left, I have decided not to teach. I thought maybe I should finish up with a BA in general studies and sell insurance or pharmaceuticals.These careers are not easy to get into and you need a little money for startup, which I have none. So I have to decided to stay in school. I am not sure what to change my major to, something in the sciences. I am interested in research or marine biology (which is not offered in AR). I am looking into a BS in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. What are my pros/cons? What are some career options? Are there any other interesting career options in science I might not have heard of?

I live at the beach in NC. I'm not ocean front but the soil is still very sandy. We live in an area with mostly old folks who are retired and outside planting new flowers all the time. The homeowners association does all the grass mowing but the flower beds are up to us. And we are constantly getting dirty looks and comments about how bad our bed looks.

I am possibly the worst gardner known to man. My mother could kill everything and I inherited her ability with my fathers complete disinterest. I can't tell the difference between flower and weed. I want to find something that will grow in the sandy soil, that blooms most of the summer, and that requires lil maintance. It can be tree, bush, vine whatever--as long as its low maintenance. I can water about once a week. And maybe monthly I'll go out there and (deadhead, or add a fertiziler stick, or whatever one does). But you better spell it out for me if you don't want it to die.

Suggestions? Anything will be appreciated!!
