it definetly will. a week ago one of my friends go a raft and filled it up with helium and i flouted about 5 inches off the ground got in it and the raft just went down. but the tank will be lighter but not by much. i would say about 8 or 9 punds lighter. but just mack shour there is no one in it when u fill it up there voice will be very
high
for ever.

Guess the first couple of answering folk don't understand physics. No. To begin with, no truck hauls helium gas. It would haul compressed liquid helium.
I'm not sure how much compressed liquid helium a tanker would hold, but 100 liters of it would weigh in at about 32 pounds. As a gas it is lighter than air, and will lift a balloon, but they don't transport it as a gas.

Contrary to popular belief, the truck would be heavier if the tank is full of liquefied helium, which is how is it is stored and transported. Helium is only lighter that air in the gaseous state as in a balloon. Consider your small bottle of liquefied helium you get with a balloon kit for birthday parties, etc. They will not float away.

You forget, the helium is under pressure when it is stored in the tank. A lot of pressure. At the pressure it is stored, I would expect it to be denser than air. If you filled the tank up with just enough helium to fill it and not so much that it is under a high pressure, I would expect it to make the tank lighter but not to a very noticable level.

The truck would be lighter because the filled helium would replace the otherwise heavier atmospheric air that would of been inside the tanker instead.

the helium would be packed in so tight it is condensed to a liquid so it would not be lighter

I think not, they usually ship gases in liquid form because its more efficient. If it was gas then yes it would be lighter.

That is a good question I never thought about that, I'd say it would and maybe even float off into the sky; lol.
