Does anyone know of any freeware or shareware that sizes lumber, whether dimensional or engineered, such as LVL. I can do the statics and load calculations, but it takes time to size the lumber. So is there any free or relatively inexpensive software that people can recommend that I can enter the loads and it will size the lumber? Also steel. This is for residential design. I like to design for steel beams in the foundation, but limit framing members to wood products, dimensional or engineered.

Hi, could someone please make sure these questions make sense and that the translations are correct? We have an oral exam on Monday and I have to make/memorize them and ask another person my questions, so they have to make sense and be correct:

We push everything back as far as we can on the counters and try to keep our trash can low so the dog can't get into anything but because he is so big he still manages, we've tried training him to stay off of the counters and to stay out of the kitchen but nothing works... help!

What's the best way to lose fat without gaining weight? I started exercising again to lose weight (about 2 weeks ago) and I read somewhere you can't lose fat from a certain area, you have to tone your entire body. So when I started working out again, I gained weight instead of losing weight, could it be muscle weight? Because I really want to lose fat and not gain muscles. It's really strange because I used the exact same workout I did last time and I lose 2 pounds every week, in just one week I seemed to have gone from 115 to 118. All I want is to lose my big belly.

I can't straighten my hair every day and i hate putting it up. I scrunch it but then it gets poofy and ahh i have no clue what to do to my hair. Its about 3 inches past my shoulder, pretty thick , wavy. Please help haha. If you have something like a product that protects your hair from straighteners i;d appreciate it:)
