Not a problem. He will eventually manage to chew it up and completely swallow it. Not to worry, it's good for him too, even if he was a bit greedy lol

I have, however, had to remove a piece of gravel caught in my bloodparrot's mouth. If necessary, tweezers might be the way to go. There shouldn't be a problem though with lettuce :) Maybe toss in some thawed frozen peas next time :)
Besides vegetation in the diet for both the goldfish AND the pleco, a couple of peas for the goldfish every few days can prevent swim bladder problems :)

There is really nothing you can do, I don't think it will hurt the fish, I am not even sure if a fish can choke, seeing that they breath much differently than we do, with gills, so the fish will either fight it down or spit it back out and attempt to eat it again, and instead of feeding your plecostomous lettuce, buy algea blocks for the tank, they sell them wherever fish are sold, just ask for them. This way, the pleco will devour the block, and the others will leave it alone.

If it is big enough to pull out you try it. Luckily since fish have gills they can't choke unless the lettuce covers the gills. Eventually it will probably dissintegrate enough that the fish can swallow it. Hopefully! Good Luck!

Ok! listen. Since the fish mostly breath with their gills, keep an eye on them. If they go extremely rapid, swell, or green food(ledace ) is sticking out, then scare him with a net or something. Usually scaring a fish will make it spit its food out.

Otherwise, give him some moments, then scare if you need to. If its struggling more than 5min. Scoop it in the net, but keep it in the water. Rub its tummy lightly if it wont spit the food out.
