Why do pumps in Gas Stations carry a number?

I work in a gas station.. Nobody ever reads the pump # he/she is at.. Everyone comes with a description of the car he/she is driving.... Why do people never stop to read the number which is there for their convinience?

what happens if a bird flies into a plane engine?

i was on a plane yesterday and i was watching the wing and the engine to see if any birds flew in. its pretty big and it has a big opening, i dont see how birds never fly in there and damage anything. anyone know what would happen if a bird did fly into the engine?

Toddler to be kicked out of day care for biting?

My daughter is 17 months old, and she's recently started biting other kids when they get in arguments over toys. Twice now she's broken the skin of other kids. The day care is extremely scared of liability, so they sent her home for this week, which is very difficult as my wife and I both work and have no family or back-up day care in this area. Now they're willing to take her back, but if she bites like this again, they say their going to kick her out. So I have two questions:
1) Have you had this situation (the biting) and how did you resolve it?
2) Isn't it a bit extreme to kick out a 17 MONTH OLD for a pretty normal behavior?

For a little more background, I have two older kids (7 and 9) who never went through this. In fact, they WERE bitten in day care when they were young, and no kid every got kicked out for it. Also, we have always had doubts about the toddler's teacher and her ability to handle any kind of issue - this has really confirmed it.

Which hotel do you recommend for taking your mother on a trip to Las Vegas?

I want to take my mother to Las Vegas for her birthday, as she's a big fan of CSI-LV and Cirque Du Soleil; besides she always has wanted to go, and now I have the chance to take her. I've been to Las Vegas several times on conventions and on business, and usually I've stayed at the Mirage. I like it, but I don't know if that's the best hotel to pick for this trip. Caesars looks nice, but I would really like different points of view about hotels on the strip.

Any advise on how to finding a missing indoor cat?

My cat snuck out an open door around 2 AM yesterday. I've called for him, put up fliers, contacted the microchip company, contacted the animal shelter, contacted the vets in town, set out his favorite food, and even left the garage door open at night. Today, I rented a humane cat trap from the animal shelter. Is there anything else I should be doing?

Riddle me this (math)?

I pondered to myself this question(I believe I made this one up!)
Why do we say numbers are indefinite when the sequince is only 0-9 you can't find any other number that are differant than 0123456789 so if these numbers are constantly being used wouldn't the ending to our so called indefinite numbers system be 0123456789 ??? since everything else out here after this is symbols?so they are not really indefinte when you really think about it huh! My theory is the only thing indefinite is one mirror facing another a reflection is then calculated as indefinite am I not right heyyy!! no stealing my ideas just answer the best way you can for me ha! ha! ha! logically if there is such an answer!!

My nose, just wondering?

I have a nice face but my nose has a sorta crook towards the top. I broke it once when I was younger, and it wasn't placed back in place properly, in fact it wasn't at all. so now the bottem of my nose is nice but as you go up along it there is a dent towards the top, weird. I heard that eventually people grow out of this-is that true. I've been seen as unattractive because of this, but everthing else is great about me great teeth, face, n bod, but the nose is what turns girls off. It is really annoying, in fact my nose isn't even that bad. I really don't know what I'm asking but what are some ways to get people to take their attention away from this?? Best awnser 10 points and btw i also have a good personality- i don't friggin understand!!

Mark Prior, Was he sent to the minors? What is the story? Is he done?

My Dad was telling me his fastball has not gotten over 85mph all spring , is that true? Is anyone optomistic that he can make it back? What is the story with all these pitchers , young studs breaking down all the time Wood, Liriano , Prior just to name a few. They know so much about sports medicine now , can't these trainors , Doctors, figure out a way to keep them in one piece? Anyway any thoughts? Thanks.
