It's the only rational position.

The term 'agnostic' was coined by Thomas Huxley and it refers quite simply to a person who holds the view that it is wrong to assert the truth of a proposition without logically satisfactory evidence.

So, an agnostic would say that it's wrong to say "God exists" or "No gods exist" without the argument or evidence to back it up. Moreover, the agnostic would say that it's immoral for a person to tell someone else that they *ought* to believe in the existence of a god or gods without providing logically satisfactory evidence.

A 'theist' is defined as someone who believes in the existence of a god or gods, so an atheist is anyone who is not a theist.

Note that you can be agnostic and also an atheist, or agnostic and a theist, or not agnostic and an atheist, or not agnostic and a theist.

So, every rational person is an agnostic.

I like being able to speak in both languages. I can appreciate religious allegory and symbolism without being intimidated or deluded. I can talk about God or ignore God without taking God all that seriously. I can laugh at ALL the jokes and sympathize with both theists and atheists.

yes your best part can be that you can do whatever you want without anything consequences happening now, but the worse part is you havent started a relationship with God and wont go to heaven when you die. me personally i would rather live my life for God and if i die and all my beliefs were wrong well then at least i have lead a good life. but what happens when you die and God sends you to hell because you wanted it your way and denied him. Jesus died for our sins, accept him into your heart and it will change your life.

God Bless.

When I was an agnostic I could call Atheists stupid because they believed something that couldn't be proved and I could feel sorry for religious people because they believed something because they were afraid to die and face oblivion.

Thank God that He rescued me from my high tower of self congratulation and my intellectual superiority attitude.

Proverbs 3:7 Be not wise in your own eyes; fear the LORD, and turn away from evil. 8 It will be healing to your flesh and refreshment to your bones.

I don't call people stupid anymore, now I just pray for them and ask God to show them the same mercy that He showed to me.

I dunno. I guess feeling more free to choose your own beliefs about things, what you agree with or don't agree. Like not being told what believe and trying to believe things you might not agree with. Feeling more free to think about stuff. I'm not explaining this very well hope this makes sense. I know religious and atheists can do that as well.

i take comfort in the fact that i am unsure and don't whip out god love when it is convenient most religious people i know are hypocritical and insecure and if they had even one third of the courage of their Jesus they would be half decent people, instead they sit atop their ivory towers throwing boulders at anyone who doesn't resemble them, when their own tower is made of the fragilest glass,no i like who i am and don't need to insult or look down upon anyone to validate me,most of them violate the golden rule of love thy neighbour, and he who knows no sin cast the first stone.the favourite position of a catholic at least the ones i know is behind a podium of harsh judgement of those who don't make the same choices as them, and most are only concerned with keeping up appearances and the outer shell of things so caught up in the judgement of others they cant look at their own flaws,i realize my rant is me assassinating my own character by judging them but i assure you if i was given the opportunity to address the people i know i would but when they see me they smile and are kind so i follow suit like a good girl

I don't go insane. I don't praise a false being that does not exist. I don't carry around rosaries or prayer beads on which I count the end of days for myself.
