This might seem a bit much, but on that amount, you can have a fantastic roadtrip in the mid US.....states such as Louisiana, Arkansas, Mississippi, Tennessee, Oklahoma, and Missouri are all inexpensive to stay in as long as you stay away from the big cities when you require lodging and/or food. Even in the summertime, rooms in the smaller towns will run as low as 30.00 per night and the rooms (although not the Peabody) are clean and the scenery can't be beaten. 2500.00 can go a long way touring the Ozarks, Oachitas, Bayous and such....this way you can also explore the larger cities and what they have to offer and still enjoy the small town atmosphere....if you would like more specific directions, contact me and would be glad to help you. I've been to most of the country and know each state like the back of my hand.

Oregon or New Jersey! I think you can stay in any of the 50 US States with that budge. I was able to stay in California in 6 months with that budget. However, all my accommodations were free because I stayed with relatives and friends. That's already a big amount. Just choose places with good transportation if you dont have one!
I had studied the 50 US States through Microsoft Encarta for Kids, Premium DVD, Yahoo travel and yahoo answers. I think you are the best person who can answer that after travelling through these places vicariously. Learn to explore these places!

Hawaii would be a great place to visit but it's expensive. I'm quite fond of Connecticut but the nice parts of CT are also very expensive. Maybe New Hampshire or Vermont. They are also very pretty and you could probably find some great deals. The only problem is that any attractions are usually far apart from one another.
Tenesee is actually full of great attractions and depending on where you stay, you could find some great deals.
Good Luck!
