Okay so we have an english assignment to write an essay about our expertise, and my teacher doesnt give out the easy grades, so I choose somthing funny to help maybe pursuade him. Tell me what you think:

HOW TO TEACH YOUR CAT NOT TO POOP ON THE FLOOR

First off, do not be upset with your cat when you come home to a piece of poop on your carpet. They do not know better. Cats do not learn as easily as dogs or other animals do. Although, cats may have more knowledge than we know they do, because we are their slaves.
In order to gain the most efficiency in solving this problem you must detect why the cat has chosen to vandalize your innocent carpet, table, chair, sofa, etc. In doing so, investigate the premises. First, check out the litter box. Is the litter box too dirty? Is it too clean? Ask yourself, why would you do it? Continuing the investigation, inspect the food situation. Did she eat something bad? Is she sick? Do not leave out any possibilities that it was not her intention. If you do find that she may have just done the deed out of sheer rudeness, this is where my method comes in handy.
I have had much success in what I like to call the “Self-Cleaning” method. You find your kitty; the suspect of the offense, find the poop; the offense, and point at it in front of her making sure you have her attention.
Next, up, to position your cat to the right angle in which it will be easy access for her paws to come together and pick up the piece of poo. I never pick up her poop for her if she meant to poop there. If she was sick, I would clean it up myself because I am an understanding and forgiving person.
Now, you must carry the cat while she holds the poo, to the nearest waste receptacle. After it has been disposed, you sit down and have a chat with the cat. Explain to her why you do not want her to poop on the floor. Tell her it is wrong. Show her the litter box, and maybe if you feel it may be more effective, place the poop inside the box instead of just throwing it right away. If you place the poop back where it belongs then of course, she will start to think that maybe this is where I need to put it and nowhere else.
Another thing to keep in mind is your cat may be unaware that she leaves poop in the wrong place. For instance, does the cat have long hair? Perhaps the poop sticks to the hair and comes off at a later point in which it finds itself to be on your carpet, this is common. To help with this situation, you may want to clip her hair short around her behind. If you need to clip her hair, do it while she is relaxed; maybe she could be sleeping in your lap.
As a cat owner, I have noticed a vast improvement in my cat’s disposal habits. If your cat does not improve her actions, and you made sure it was not because of the other reasons, then at least you will get a good laugh out of my “Self-Cleaning” method.

I have been trying to get my son to sleep alone in his bed at night (w/o me).
After I put him to bed, he gets up out of bed 20 min later and ask if I can sleep w/ him or visa versa.
Note: Due to circumstances, we have had to sleep together for a few months, but this was 3 or 4 months ago.
Can you please give some suggestions on how to end this?

ok, for my marketing class we had to pick a product/service and hypotheticly sell it to the class. my group for a reason unknown to me decided to choose tin foil. the problem is the sales thing has to be 5-10 minutes and we dont know how to make it this long without dragging it out. also we have to tell the features/benifits for it. please just give some ideas/ suggestions, it is already to late to switch to a different product. thanks.

I operate the entire business. I am actually the general manager of the business. I have the credentials, meaning that every course needed to be in this position, I have. I relocated for this position. i am in no way benefiting from being here. I love where I work, the only thing that is keeping me here is the opportunity. I am falling behind on bills, I cannot catch up, this to me should not be the case. So DO I go to my employer and show him/her my bills, car payment, food expenses, mortage, maintenece, what DO I do. I do not want to go beck where I came from, but I am not benefiting from being here. $30,000 is not a lot when I only bring home maybe $800.00 every two weeks. Car payment is $485.00, mortage is $495.00, $300.00 debt consolidation, not to mention food, car maintence, bills, WHAT DO I DO? Please think I f this was you what whould you do......

Our four year old son (just turned 4 last week) is having a fit about going to gymnastics. He seemed like he was enjoying it so much and recently has went into total temper tantrum about going. He is a very good boy normally so the temper tantrum comes to us at such a surprise. He likes to go to the "daycare" at the gym my husband and I work out at and walks in and runs to the other kids and caregivers but when it comes to gymnastics... he will come up to us the day before and say, "I don't want to go to gymnastics" When we encourage him and say, well let's just finish your session (eight weeks more) he throws a total fit. What do we do?

I have developed some sort of reaction to beef. It is not consistent, but often after I eat beef I get food poisoning symptoms. Vomit, cramps, bad diaherra. Everytime this happens, there is a similar aftertaste with my vomits and burps and a common smell as well which seems to permeate my stools as well. It is the same everytime, which has made it easy to determine "beef = food poisoning." My question is, with this same taste and smell that is common from one reaction to the next, could this be something MORE than food poisoning? When I just get sick from flu or virus, the smells and tastes are not there. I have learned to stay away from beef, but sometimes I just want meat. After this last episode, I have decided it is not worth it.

John Edwards on Sunday called a janitors' campaign for better wages at the University of California, Berkeley, a continuation of the civil rights struggle that began in the 1960s.

Edwards sounded the civil rights theme to commemorate the 42nd anniversary of the "Bloody Sunday" clash between black voting rights marchers and police in Selma, Ala.

"This march for economic and social justice for the men and women who work at this university is a part of a bigger march in America for fairness and equality," Edwards said during a stop on his current tour of college campuses."

Is it possible to just get a work assignment and get started without the neurotic game of "what's the deadline" and postponing until you have to start? Does school ruin people because it teaches us to play this game, instead of just shifting priorities (as needed) and then just starting in with good effort when we are handed a new task, rather than playing the time game, which is "Oh, I can postpone until I have to get going"? Does anyone know a way around the "time game" that procrastinators play?

He recently spoke at a rally for striking janitors, arguing that it's a matter of economic justice that janitors be paid more.

Look, folks, nobody forces you to do what you do for a living. Some people just want to show up, perform a repetitive task and go home on time to see their tv shows. That's fine - I'm not knocking the decision and sometimes I wish I'd made the same decision. But it's a TRADEOFF. It's not unfair that people who are required to have a lot more knowledge, to constantly upgrade that knowledge, to use analytical skills, to solve problems, to use judgment, to work all night if that's what it takes to solve the problem, to communicate their solutions and to face the risk of losing their jobs if their solutions don't work or are too expensive, get paid a lot more than people who push a boom all day.

Even if you don't choose to be a janitor, the difference in pay still reflects differences in what you do all day.

THAT IS economic justice.

The inlaw thing has been somewhat rocky from time to time. His sister and I have had major issues to where they end with her asking me not to bother my husband with them. Not wanting to upset him, I don't.
He comes from a pretty traditional lebanese family. They are very close. I do admaire that. But I also feel that we have a family of our own that requires nurturing. They live but a block away and go to my husbands business every day as they are retired. They call for us to visit and expect us to just drop everything. And my husband does.
We do take the kids down and visit but I feel like sometimes that it is not convenient and I would prefer to spend a nice evening at home. But my husband, in a huff decides to pack up the kids and spend the evening down there without me. He shows up at home just in time for the kids to head right to bed.
I usually enjoy visiting with them but I wish we could do it when it is convenient for all of us to go as a family.

I installed Ubuntu Linux on my machine over the weekend and I seem to be stuck with Firefox 1.5 and no way to upgrade. I downloaded the new version but its just in a folder. What can I do with this?

If this sounds like a newbie question that's because I am new. I have absolutely no idea of how to get this going, and Mozilla's release notes are essentially useless for me since I don't know enough to get by.

Any help, websites, positive energy, etc would be appreciated!
