ok, for my marketing class we had to pick a product/service and hypotheticly sell it to the class. my group for a reason unknown to me decided to choose tin foil. the problem is the sales thing has to be 5-10 minutes and we dont know how to make it this long without dragging it out. also we have to tell the features/benifits for it. please just give some ideas/ suggestions, it is already to late to switch to a different product. thanks.

Try the 4 things close (this can be used to sell anything, I use it at least 1 time a day)

"We've found that most people looking to buy tin foil have 4 things in mind. First, they're looking for a product that is functionally designed. Second, they're looking for something that is easy to use and more importantly difficult to misuse. Third, they're looking for a quality product. And finally, they want good service or product support. Apart from those four things, is there anything else you'll need to see to earn your business today?"

Then go through the 4 things and get minor agreements.

1.) Do you see how this is in a 12" roll? This is wide enough to cover 96% of baking dishes, but not too large to be wasteful. It comes in this box to make storage easy and the box has a built in cutter to make precise cuts without danger of hurting your fingers. Wouldn't you agree that this tin foil roll is functionally designed?

Do something similar for all four important things, then close on the last one

"It has an 800 number printed on the box and with live operators 24 hours a day I'm sure you'd agree you'll get all of the customer service you'll need, Wouldn't you agree?"

The investment for one roll is $1.89 or our combo pack gives you 2 rolls for $2.99, Which would you like?"

Another thing: come up with a unique use for it... some reason that they could relate to... like... you can wrap your Baseball cards in it and keep them water-tight and resistant to damage from the atmosphere.

Line your hamster cage with it..

Get a parent of someone in the group (or a friend) to design a unique craft that uses it... and give away instructions for the craft when they purchase the aluminum foil.

Visit the Reynolds website and see what neat stuff you can find, there. Also, see what slogans you guys can come up with.

When you get into it, it'll be fun. You'll see.

So you're saying you've no idea of the benefits and features of tin foil. There's got to be hundreds...it's waterproof...it can be used for arts and crafts...I mean it's insane how many there are.

Did you know it's cheap?
