A ball is thrown verticall upward with a velocity of +10.0m/s How high does it rise?

Hi, I asked this question yesterday and I got the answer, its 5m, but im not entirely sure how they got it. Somehow they solved for t, and they used like -10m/s^2 for the acceleration I dont understand where they got the acceleration, as its not presented in the problem, and I dont think I have an equation that gives me acceleration from velocity. It seems like a really simple question but im stumped, any help? thanks

Mike Alfonso better known as Mike Awesome formerly from the WWE, ECW, and WCW found dead in his home over the weekend. He was a regular on Yahoo Answers answering questions about wrestling. I just got on after a long weekend. I enjoy answering and asking questions but some people are always on here in the pregnancy and parenting section. Do you believe some people are obsessed with this site? Why do you think that is? There are a few users that have questions posted every time I log on. How can these people be the “great” parents they claim if they are always online and rack up thousands of points in just a weekend?? I have a lot of points but I’m just on here every once in a while.

What’s your opinion? Are you one of those people? I mean whatever floats your boat but I would just think that there would be better things for all of us parents to be doing.

It's a long story but I've flown all over the world and was never scared and then I had a terrible flight with turbulence and in the middle of it, we descended very fast, downwards. The pilot didn't come on the PA system so I thought we were crashing. I flew a few times after that but it was always horrific for me. I can't breath, my heart races and I just want off the plane, even out the door, if I could. The last time I flew, I had a AZ layover and didn't get back on the plane. It took me a train and 2 rental cars to get back to DC. My question..Is this fixable? Talking to people doesn't work because they can't promise the plane I'm on won't crash. Drugs, No, I'm afraid if I'm out of it when the plane crashes, I won't be able to get off safely. Meditation, No. Nothing works. The thing people don't understand is that *I'm not afraid the plane will crash, when I'm on a plane, in my mind, it is crashing.* I'm just waiting for the impact. I missed my own brother's wedding in CA! Help!

My car is probably either being trashed by youths or traffic wardens. I pay for a service to trace my mobile phone signal that was left in my car and all I get is red tape. How the hell do I send a text from the mobile im trying to revover to trace my car. No doubt by now that Im typing this, the battery is flat.

As a resolt of this governments stupidy decent motor goes to china for recycling and I get half of I paid to upgrade it.

I wish this idiotic government stopped prentending to care about idiotic issues like drugs knifes and guns. Men and boys have armed themselves from day one.

They don't even care for the living, all they care about is their fake reputation. Even though their are just slabs of fat and lies.

im kinda worried about bowel movement in labour,although ive heard that you get diahreaha in early stages of laybour to clear out your bowels...but ive also heard stories about embarrasing bowel movements during giving birth.
is an enema an option?

i went to my boyfriends house for the first time this past sunday to meet his mom and sister and her friend who is practically related to them because he hangs out there so much. i got there and i was nice and polite and talked some, but soon, and for most of the night, i hardly said a word, quiet as a mouse. Now, thats not how i usually am at all, but i was really nervous and didnt want to make a bad impression, so i was really quiet!! i feel like ive ruined everything =[ how horrible is this and please say i'm not the only one!
