I never have a big appetite but in the last 6 months i've been eating for the sake of it and put on nearly a stone. I want to get rid of this extra weight now and eating less is not a problem (I could easily live off 5 pieces of fruit a day if I was told it was good for me, which I know it isn't) so in the last two weeks I would say i've had a diet of about 1000 calories a day but i'm not losing weight. I also have an underactive thyroid gland, hence the name. Any constructive sensible advice?

I have a 3 year old Turkish Van. Every so often, she chews areas near the base of her tail raw! It leaves bloodly little sores. She DOES NOT have fleas. She's an indoor cat and given Frontline every three months. PLEASE HELP!

I read them, reply to OR delete them, and or, mark them spam and move on. I simply KNOW who I am, don't care who assumes what they like. I try to help others on here, even when my help is mocked. I ask questions, not merely for help in my own life, but to see what OTHERS believe or choose to say. I am sometimes confounded at the wonderful ansers, confused by the dumb or gimpy answers [just for Yahoo points]. Then I am saddened for the ones who like to email me to start a fight, saying I am NOT who I say I am. Those people are the ones missing out, in my humble opinion, I AM a great person, love myself & others, and am a wonderful friend to have.

I am surprised at how many people don't know that Lincoln was the GOP's first-ever President. And that the South was mostly comprised of Democrats (to this day) that opposed everything Lincoln stood for, and kept those positions for over 100 years after his assassination. In fact, if RFK and JFK don't begin supporting Martin Luther King in the 60's -- the Democrats might never have gotten ONE vote from Black America. (and come to think about it, Dems haven't done too much since LBJ.. who is the 3rd best Dem President of this century after FDR and Truman).

And which entertainer did you enjoy the most? I think 3 individual did their thing last night in this order. Mary J. Bliege, Christina Aguilera and Chris Brown. But there were other good entertainers as well. But these 3 set the stage on fire! Who agrees with me? If not, tell me whom you thought was entertaining.

I'm trying to quit, i've only been smoking for maybe 4 yrs. It's not that bad, at the moment. A pack lasts me a few days sometimes. I've tried quitting cold turkey, but the longest that lasted was a few months. Tell me would this work.

Figure out how long one pack lasts me then with the new one try to make it last longer then that.

Slowly smoke less till 1 pack lasts a while

Then i'll probably switch to lights, and make 1 pack last even longer

Then hopefully get to where I don't smoke a whole one, then slowly get down to where I don't need one at all.

So yeah slowly ease myself off of them. Would that work? or Do I need some that special gum and patches?

I have a guy friend and he bought me something for Valentine's Day. I don't know what to get him in return...Seeing that most Valentine's Day stuff says I love you and stuff of that sort.
