I'm 41 weeks with high bp, but baby has always monitored well. The consultant who saw me yesterday has asked me to come in tonight to be induced but I am sooooo scared of hospitals. It was ok when it was just going to be me and hubby in the delivery suite, but being put on a ward scares me. How long did your induction take? And what was the worst part? I think if I can prepare for the worst I'll be ok in the end.

My friend is trying to set me up with one of her guy friends. I said I'd be willing to get to know him, but only as friends for now and that I don't want to rush into anything. So we made plans to all go out as a group this weekend. Well the other night, I talked to him on the phone for the first time. I could just tell our personalities do not click and I've lost all interest in meeting him and now he's calling me and emailing me constantly. I've already come up with an excuse to cancel our plans for the weekend, but what am I supposed to do now? I'm annoyed that even after explaining that I'm just wanting to be friends, he still calls me almost every night. Isn't that a little pushy? Anyways, is it best to tell my matchmaker friend that I'm no longer interested or should I make up an excuse like I've met someone else? Or should I explain it to him directly eventhough we've only spoken once?

Planning to visit Barcelona from Mar 2 to Mar 5, 07' all by myself. So, I am looking at single room accomodation. Can anyone plz suggest a place under 100EUR for 3 nites. Options other than hostel..like a B&B, cheap hotel

I'm pregnant; we have two cats. One is a complete delight. The other, well...

It's been extremely frustrating trying to train him not to do anything. He quite obviously knows where he is and isn't supposed to scratch; just doesn't always care. He's sometimes prone to giving you nips, too -- broke the skin a *tiny* bit last night -- occasionally, purring away during a petting, there's an abrupt bite not preceded by any "I am getting tired of this" warning at all. He is, well, like some people, just not into rules, and sometimes kind of hard to get on with. Nothing is off-limits for him if nobody's looking.

He can also be pretty charming, though. He likes to stand on his hind legs and place his front paws on you to request a petting; plays well with his 'sister,' and is a natural at purring and kneading.

I'm getting worried that I have +/- six months to get this cat ready to be around a baby, or... Or, well, I'd rather not think about it.

Help!

I know it sounds strange, but let me explain. It was dark and cold last night *obviously* and as I was stood looking out of my bedroom window, I had the strangest feeling. My mind went a bit blank, and all I could think about was how pointless my life is. I realised how short my life is compared to the expanse of time. I felt really close to all beings. I felt strange for a while, then I sort of went back to normal. what happened to me? Am i going crazy? somebody please try to explain it. thanks a lot :)

I am in "temporary sheltered accomodation" awaiting council housing which is slow as I am not with children.

I am being bullied by another tenant in the same house and am at my wits' end. I am in fear of my life - suppt workers no help.

What can I do to make him back off? I have been here longest. He has been thrown out of one house because of violence towards another female tenant, and placed in with me. I am scared of him, and he knows it! He drinks and is worse then. He seems to be able to pick a fight out of thin air!

I had two wonderful rats. They were great pets and an awesome addition to our family. They loved to ride on our shoulders and sample whatever we were eating! I'd love to have one again.
BUT...
One got tumors/cancer and died in less than a year, and the other eventually got tumors/cancer but lived 2+ years.
Are regular rats as sociable and as good of pets as fancy rats?
I just can't watch another fuzzy friend suffer like that.
