You did something many people strive for a lifetime to achieve. You, just for a moment, became conscious of being part of the universal mind. Cherish that, and remember.

Sweetheart, if you think you're crazy, that means you're not; crazy people don't know they're crazy, they think they are absolutely fine. There's nothing wrong with being a little bit humble every once in a while. We all get caught up in ourselves, and to have that jolt of reality, that we aren't the only one on the planet, that the Earth isn't spinning just for us, is natural, not to mention healthy. You understand that you aren't at the center of the universe; a lesson well taght, a lesson well learned.

That's great, you had a moment of deep insight. May I suggest some reading?
"The power of Now", Eckhart Tolle, he's had the exact same experience as you, and then went on to become a spiritual teacher.
"Awareness", Anthony de Mello
"Edge of Reality", Dawn Hill

Psychologically speaking your mind was in a deep trance, something like what tibetian monks call "meditation". Your mind is blanked out and then, since your mind can't think of nothing, it sends in random thoughts like this time you thought of how insignificant earth and you really are compared to the vast and colossal behemoth of time.
Actually it is interesting that earth is colossal to you, the sun is colossal to the earth, Sirius (another sun) is thousands of times larger than the sun and another sun Arcturus is millions of times larger than sirius. Makes you feel kinda small eh?

1st your life is not meaningless, you are right that life is short , God says life is a vapor that appears for a little while and vanishes away,
Jesus is GOD in the flesh and came to make your life worth something
he cares about you so much that he has the hairs on your head numbered, but most of all Jesus loves you so much that he died for you, so you could have eternal life read john 3:16-17. all you have to do is say to Jesus you know you are a sinner and ask him to save you and if you mean what you say from your heart he will save you and make your life worth living. It is all about believing in faith.
I CHALLENGE you to open your heart to Jesus Christ today read Romans 10:9-11

You had a moment of 'self actualization.' It is atop Maslow's hierarchy of needs. It's when you have all your other needs covered and the mind is able to have time processing some of the less tangible things such as the meaning of life.

You're definitely not crazy. You were just lost in space. Your mind was just going off on a limb and thinking about off-the-wall stuff. Don't worry, it happens to everyone.

It's a side effect of being in Yahoo Q&A too long. Some people take it longer than others. You just hit this earlier than most.
What happens is you answer questions and ask questions of the universe. At least the universe of Yahoo. Then there is a moment when you become one with this universe. You did this. How awesome.
Technically we should call you Guru Hollywood Hottie
