the battery on m diesel van ran out of water and went flat, i topped it back up today but my mechanic said it would be no good after being dry and that i need to buy a new battery, is this true or is he just trying to make money out of me? would the old one hold a charge or will it be damaged now?

People has been telling that i am getting shorter!!...well i was not that tall before ...just 153 cm. (18yrs old this yr). i've heard that you would stop growing in heigh after a certain age like 17 or 18 or so... But i've never heard of people growing shorter!!! What is this??...Anyone can help?? Would sleeping less make ppl shorter??...( i seriously doubt so!)... Pls Help!....Matured replies are really appreciated...^.^

The last few days my clothes dryer has started to squeak when it starts up. After the first few minutes the squeaking seems to stop but after it is stopped and restarted, it squeaks again. Are there any parts, places where it would help to spray some WD-40 or am I headed for bigger problems? Any suggestions appreciated.

One of my cats goes crazy if I give her a black olive to play with.

It started when I accidentally dropped one once. None of my other 3 cats take any notice but she acts as if it contains the strongest cat nip in the world! She rolls around on it and kicks her legs in the air and bats it round. Why?

We have never thought of it, but it is actually very unstable. When you add acids, it becomes acidic really quickly and easily..
Why?Could the answer be polarity? Why when you add alkaline / acid it follows the change so easily

I have dated this guy on and off for about 5 years, during an off time he fell in love with another girl and they had a daughter together. Since then, they've been through a pretty messy break-up and me and him have started dating again. I really like him, and his daughter is amazing, but I can't handle all the drama that his ex puts him through. And aside from all that....I feel like I'm being pushed into being the new step-mom . And I don't think I'm ready for that. What should I do?

I seriously wish it could be Superbowl Saturday instead of Sunday! I need a day after to recuperate before heading back to work on Monday.

been dating this guy for 2mnths now. sofar, he's been honest, generous with his time and money and has been extremely reliable.. we spend a lot of time together and its great except for a couple of things: he has a quick temper and is always complaining about how mean the world has been to him despite the fact that he's fortunate enough to own properties that he can make a living off of. i always listen to his complaining and when i reach out to touch him, he yells and tells me not to touch him when he's mad.. so now i let him complain till he gets tired. 2)he has a wondering eye, where he stares at every female in a skirt.. i'm very good looking, so it makes me wonder how he could look at other females when he's with me..he talks about how cute this and that woman is and when i see someone attractive on tv or something he criticizes me and blows everything out of proportion.. well at least i don't stare at every man walking past! when i confronted him, he said his reply was.. you haven't even given me any sex and you're complaining about me staring at other women? then last night hetold me that i shouldn't get too attached to him and he's not going to get attached to me cuz he's not looking toget hurt. this confused me cuz he calls me almost everyday keeping a tab on me, asks me where i want him to take me, asks me to work with him, asks me to take vacations with him, talks about longterm plans. so what does he mean he doesn't want us to get attached.. his words contradict his actions..i'm thinking of distancing myself. whats up with him?

When quoting Genesis 6:2 "That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they [were] fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose."
- Note that is states "sons" (plural) of God, taking the daughters of men (the sons of God were not men).
Genesis 6:4 There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare [children] to them, the same [became] mighty men...
- Obviously the children of the sons of God and women of men became heros or demigods (see Hercules for example).
- Why is it that Christians can not realize that the OT was written well before the NT? Nothing in these quotes state that we all are the children of God, it SPECIFICALLY states that the sons of God took wives that were the daughters of men. Hence, when you learn to read, you will note that it states that the sons of God are NOT human (read the Bible if you can).
