I think so because you have these 10-12 year old kids throwing as hard as they can...and throwing curveballs. I'd like to know the percentages of how many of those kids can't throw by the time they are 18 because they've messed up their arms in little league.

At first it was fun watching celebrities on the show, and they had fun themselves because they were already rich and it wouldn't have been a big deal to them financially if they lost instead of trying to raise money for their selected chairty, but I started getting disgusted in it when I heard a rumor... Is it true that those celebrities were able to confer with each other and tell the celebrity on the floor the answer yet with that not being the case with all those other regular people on the shows who unlike celebrites, have more financial obligations to content with? If that's the case, then that means the show was baised and that it favored the celebrities so they could win that money for that charity they were having it go to.

Is that romor I heard true? If so, then I find to be unfair and a little bit on the disgusting side.

We have a new 4 month old kitten who likes to pick up pens, wads of paper and other objects in her mouth and carry them off. I am thinking that with a little bit of training she could be trained to bring it back to us. I have never done this with a cat before. Any ideas?

I want information on religious studies (IGCSE) for which i ll be sitting this year without any knowlegde:(?

One argument if favour of Intelligent Design I often read is that certain features, such as the eye, are too complex to have arisen by natural means.

But such complex features are arising all the time - every new baby of a species that has eyes - by entirely natural means. If the ID argument is sound should we not posit that every new baby is intelligently designed? In which case would this refute current biological theories about eggs, DNA, gestation etc etc the "theory of reproduction"?

It seems to me either that:
1. Yes, you have to reject the "theory of reproduction" or
2.. Intelligent Design is compatible with the "theory of reproduction"

If "2" then you have to ask yourself what ID is actually saying and have to work pretty hard to get it to exclude evolution. Evolution may be wrong but it would not be ID that showed it to be so and another naturalist explanation of the changes in life forms would be immune to criticism by ID.

So IDers - which is it 1 or 2?

To those of you who have seen The Departed, do you think Jack Nicholson and Leonardo Dicaprio should have been nominated for an Oscar for the movie and and got snubbed/overlooked?

I saw the movie last night and what an incredible movie it was! I am so impressed and I hope Scorcese finally gets his Oscar.

I am just flabbergasted that neither Dicaprio or Nicholson got nominated for their roles!!! :( I mean, I adore Mark Wahlberg and he was great in the movie (one of his best roles to date), but an Oscar nod for him and not for anyone else in the movie?? I'm finding that hard to take here!
