Are they looking for a chance to "do things over", re-live their youth or are they just messed up? I know a number of men who left their wives for younger women - my ex included. They claimed they were not happy. However, they went back to lifestyles that they were tired of prior to getting married. They had reached a point in their lives where they were tired of partying and wanted to settle down and have kids. They did settle down, their kids are almost grown (8 - 10) and they were no longer simply making "ends meet". Now they are living the lifestyle they claimed to be tired of. They are close to 40 years old, barely making ends meet and living with woman who are in their late 20s and who will no doubt want to get married and have kids. My question - why?? I do not understand their reasoning. Is it the chance to do things over, relive their youth or are they simply messed up?

I am doing a naughty and nice theme for their party. It is going to be pretty layed back at their house. So I am trying to think of simple things for decorations. They are having everyone over for hambugers and then going out after. It is just friends at this point, no family. I am wanting to decorate their house and naughty seems to be a little easier to find then nice. But I wanted suggestions on decorations and maybe a naughty and nice drink... anything you can give me will help!

i have seen that newspapers and magazines sometimes write "a 22 year old girl..." and sometimes "a 20 year old woman...". shouldn't there be a fixed criterion about this. of course, females of age 25 certainly cannot be called girls, nor can females of age 19 be called women. its the age group 20-24 that causes confusion

I'm looking to throw a '80s-themed housewarming party for about 25 or so guests. What things should I factor in, and about how much would it cost? I'm going to make it BYOB to save costs, and possibly even potluck.

He's bow-legged which doesn't affect him much, but he probably doesn't jump/run as efficiently as other cats. Any ideas on how to exercise him. I have another cat he sometimes plays with, but he's just so lethargic. Even as a kitten he was so docile and uninterested in playing. Such a cuddler and a sweetheart, but I worry about his health. I already control his portions and he's been on weight control iams for a few years (he's four). He's big-boned naturally, but I just want him to lose a few pounds, like one or two for health reasons. Any tips?

I'm throwing my best friend her bachelortte party and it will be the first time I've thrown a party this big. It's more than likely going to be at my apartment and the girls invited are some I used to work with and she still works with (I worked at a doctor's office for 2 1/2 years which is where she and I met. I got a new full-time and better paying job about two months ago and she's still working at the doctor's office. She's been there about 2 years now) and there should be quite a few of them. I plan on having finger foods and party favors that I saw on some websites. But I need some cute/funny games to play that night. Nothing too risque, my friend is easily embarrassed. And we're not having a stripper either. Just some stuff that's fun for everyone without going too far. Thanks a bunch!

Oh, and I read somewhere that the hostess of the bachelorette party is supposed to give a speech when all the guests get there to kick everything off. Is that true?

It has started to get lots of national press as of late: CBS Early show, NBC, New York Times, Miami Herrald. For those that dont know, (read one of the articles: Time.com.
http://www.time.com/time/nation/article/0,8599,1580473,00.html)this group has confiscated govt land by using a county law against it self.
In a nutshell: a housing project was condemed & torn down with the promise of a rebuild 11 yrs ago & put $ up for the project. To date, no one knows where the $ is & the building is still an empty lot. A group used a law that forbids arrest of homeless on govt land doing life sustaning activities (eating, washing etc.) & took & occupied the vacant 1 acre lot & built a shantytown for the homeless w/ no help or support from govt. In fact govt tried to shut it down until all the press & now want to 'help'.

It was due to the gentrification of poor in the booming Miami real estate mkt.

I say, way to go! Since govt WONT help, do it ourselves.
