I took my dog (a terrier/poodle mix) to get a fancy haircut once. It didn't come out well...and he hid behind the couch for a week.
Dogs get embarrassed too. Talk it over with your mutt and see if a perm is really the way to go. I would hate for another dog to be stuck with the dust bunnies out of shame.
