Okay, my son was getting braces treatment for his teeth and in the middle of it, his insurance (Mediciaid, HIP ..whats the difference between them?) was cancelled, but the weird thing is MY insurance is still effective...
I want him to get the insurance as soon as possible because he's still in the middle of treatment and it will permanently damage his teeth if he stop the treatment like this. He still has the braces on him but haven't visit the orthodontist in almost 7 months.

What should i do?

I called HIP, they say to first apply for Mediciaid? (again, whats the difference between HIP and Medicaid?)

How can i do this and as soon as possible...i'm really worried?

I visit local social service and they told me to just apply for HIP and then Medicaid will become effective if HIP starts working again.

But i called HIP, and THEY said to first apply for Medicaid (how????) ...

All help will be appreciated, thanks :)

I've had 2 real looking scary dreams in one night.
My first dream... It was night and I was looking out at the night sky. Then, I saw shooting stars and they looked beautiful but really close. As I kept watching, a giagantic meteor flies down crashing at a building a couple of miles from me. I started to run and then my dream splits into two parts and I don't remember them.

2nd Dream: I just remember that the place looked like a desert... and America was a myth. I think it was because of nukes.

I hope this doesn't come true and people told me dreams can come true. Is it possible for dreams like mine to come true?

Rather sorry love! i've got this bit of a habit as where i take long processes to say the most simple of things. I've got anotha though. Question as a result of a daft alcohol induced query.

1) How many journal-published papers did you produce directly from your Ph.D. data total (not including work done post-Ph.D / D.Phil)?

2) In how many of these papers were you first or more importantly corresponding author (again not including work done post-Ph.D / D.Phil)? Perhaps a better way to ask is with how many of these papers did you actually do the donkey work and wrote the paper?

As far as I've been able to make out, most Ph.D. graduates finish with one journal paper, their primary or secondary supervisor being the first or corresponding author.

What are the symptoms of an under active thyroid? As I'm worried I have it, I keep meaning to go to the docs but feel a little silly telling them my symptoms!

I'm always feeling cold, can't loose weight (I eat healthily), I feel tired all the time, my periods stopped, I ache a lot, sometimes I have no appitite and others I feel hungry all day, and there is a family history of thyroid problems. It's been going on for a while but I keep thinking it might just be that I'm looking too much into it.

Has anyone out there had these or similar symptoms? And if so did they get them checked out? And what was up? Could it be my thyroid or something else?
