I have to write an essay about what caused a Civil War, and the key terms that I had to include the Compromise of 1850 and the Kansas-Nebraska controversy. How did these events cause the war? I know what they are, but I just think that the Compromise of 1850 delayed the war...Did Kansas-Nebraska controversy caused the war because it caused a larger gap between the North and the South?

What are my chances for getting into a top tier business school? Right now I am an undergrad college Junior majoring in Liberal Studies with concentrations in Business, Social Sciences (cultural anthropology classes and international poli sci classes), and Languages (learning French and Italian). I am already fluent in spanish because I am half hispanic. I will also acquire a minor in Magazine Journalism. I am a Resident Assistant, and my current GPA is 3.68. This summer I really want to either study abroad or get an internship, but I have a lot of research to do about that! Which do you recommend?

Are the odds against me since I'm a Liberal Studies major? Should I switch to business even though it would require me to stay here longer? Please give me your honest advice, I'd really appreciate it!

What else should I do for this last year & a half to up my chances?

am 21 i'll be 22 in a couple of months i feel so lost i have been out of high school for almost 3 years i've done a year of city year and worked 2 years i am thinking about going to college but feel that i am too old to be starting college i sould be in my 3 or 4 year will it be weird because of my age will it be differant because of my age i also have felony for robbery and feel a degree would be a waste of time because i will be unable to get a good job

Do you think if the upward economy continues to grow, as it has, that there is some chance for reconciliation in the country, some chance for peace? Okay, so we all know that nothing travels faster than the speed of light. And we know that the force of gravity that the sun exerts on the earth keeps us rotating around in a nice circular fashion.
Now, let's say, one day, the sun BLOWS UP!!! Oh my god, it's a disaster! Everybody's about to die! But wait...
Did we have a warning? Or didn't we?
It's been said that it takes approximately 7 minutes for light to travel from the sun to the earth. So nothing can get to our location, from where the sun is, any faster than 7 minutes. Light is the limit!
But... if the sun is no longer there, nothing is keeping us in orbit! Let's assume, just for simplicity, that the sun blew up and left the earth intact, and there is not enough collective matter to give the earth an even orbit. The earth starts wobbling out of orbit...
but WHEN? Do we start wobbling out of orbit immediately when the sun blows up, or does it take 7 minutes for the earth to recieve information that the sun has been destroyed

I have recently decided that I need a change in my life, I need to pick up the pieces and make something more positive with myself, ego and life. After having so many failed relationships, I am a depressed wreck in the inside. My best friend left and supposably went to Florida ( 1600 miles away) in 2003 and has not been heard from since then. He did nothing wrong and is an adult, therefore the police will not look for him. I would like to know where in FL he is. He is not listed in Class mates, Reunion, any public records or phone books. I know he is definately in FL.around the west coast. I have used pay internet sites with no results. I tried FL Public Records civil court records ( IE:traffic violations ) and he is not listed! Any suggestions?
