Doing time in a prison is bad enough...but ain't the end of the world. If you are confident that you can make a difference in your life, accept yourself as you are, and move forward.
22 ain't too bad to go to college! Have faith in yourself, and resolve to yourself that whatever happens, you would succeed in college.
If you don't give yourself a chance, nobody ever would! Believe me! This could be the best Christmas present ever you gave yourself!! Go for it.....Good luck and god bless!!!

With a felony for robbery how can you not go back to college? You have a lot working against you, an improved education can only help. If the felony comes up continueing your education will only show that you have improved yourself since that point.
Don't worry about your age. I've been in classes were the average student age was 40. I've been in a lot of classes like that. If it makes you feel uncomfortable you don't have to tell anyone your age anyway.

It is NEVER too late to go to college.
Go now.
Having a degree will give you more choices in the future and you will need more choices and more open doors because of the felony. From my limited experience, my blue collar jobs were the ones that did not allow for felonies at all, i.e. it is a requirement that you never had a felony. For my white collar jobs, a felony showing up in the background check would not have been a stop from being employed.

Im in the same situation as you. I went to college for 1 year and stopped. I did the working thing for 3 years and now I am debating going to college. I just turned 22 and some of my friends will be graduating. Unless you find something you really like doing and the pay is good, then i would say just go to school. But I havent decided that for myself yet either.....your not alone.

Don't get discouraged. If anything, I still think you have a young age going for you. I had a peer who was in one of my classes and he was 26 years old! (And HE had just decided that he wanted to get it right at that age!) You don't realize how many older people than you decide to go back to college. You'll definitely still fit in, plus people won't know your age unless you tell them-- which is nothing to be ashamed of by the way.
If an employer sees your felony on your record, but then sees a clean slate since you decided to clean your act up and go to college, they'll see that you're a changed man- which hopefully you are, and some will be willing to put some faith in you and hire! Don't get discouraged! It can ONLY GET BETTER if you DO DECIDE to go to college, seriously!
Do it for yourself.
Do it for your family.
Do it for your mom.

You are NOT too old! I've been in classes with 50 year old men/woman going for all kinds of degrees (teaching, etc.) You go for it! As for your felony, if you attend college, any employer worth working for would see you have cleaned up your act and are a hard working individual. Enroll yourself, you WON'T regret it! Good luck and study hard!

If you have a felony robbery conviction it probably is. Although, it's not like you have anything else to do. You might as well get your degree, it would be the only way you could prove to a potential employer that you've changed.

It would not be a waste of time. What would be a wast of time would be just sitting around not doing anything about it. I am also 22 and I just finnished my first quarter in college I have a year and a half left. Dont let anything stand in your way, and have no doubts in yourself you can do it.

hehe... most people in my classes are over 22... what are you talking about!
well, a felony does not help you, but if you choose the right career you can flourish. you just have to do your homework first. you can be self-employed and you will never have to deal with it. you just need to acquire the necessary skills... and never bother applying for a government job! that is all!

Study criminology - you have experience!
Dont worry about studying business or finance - you will never be a financial planner/chartered accountant/lawyer with a criminal record.
Meh - they are all boring jobs anyway... what about engineering or science or something like that??
Good luck buddy - and NO - you are not too old... not even a little bit...
