I know somebody who keeps relapsing off crack. She relapses, on average every six months. She loses her job, steals, and will pawn anything just to get some crack. Why do they go into this selflessness mode when they are on this terrible substance.

My partner is currently on long term incapacity benefit, we have discussed me moving in with him, i work full-time, would he lose his incapacity or have it reduced as i work full time?

Or would it just be a case of losing the housing benefit and council tax benefit as obviously i would be able to pay that once living with him?

I heard something today that seemed to be indicitave of the fundamental change that has occured over the past 40 years or so in American business. A company was referring to it's employees as "Human Capital". The view that employees are simply resouces to be used and discarded, whatever will earn the most profit, seems to be prevalent today. 40 years ago I do not believe that this was the case. Today you have CEO's making 20 or 30 million dollars a year who will proceed to lay off 1,000 workers to save money. Walmart is trying to eliminate as many full time workers as they can and replace them with part time workers so that they won't have to provide any benefits.. and so they can make more money.
Is this simply the future of business or have we gone astray in valuing the almighty dollar ahead of real people?

i'm kinda seeing this one girl, and on our first date we talked non stop. but when i call her, and i've called her like 3 or 4 times, she just doesn't say anything. everyone tells me she likes me, and she said she did. i just wanna know why she doesn't say anything on the phone.

Am I just a worry wart or should I tell her to stop. she says its not sex cause the clothers are on and it reminds her of growing up with her three jock brothers. sometimes on poker night two or three of my friends will wrestle with her at once. When I join in she gets mad. she says i am her boyfriend and she doent feel like i am one of her brothers. one time my friend was wretling with her and my girlfriends face got all red and her breathing weird and so i pulled my friend off her but she yelled at me and ran out the room. she says i should be happy she gets a long with my friends, but am i a worry wort???

This is a serious question for me. While I agree that civil union is a cold word why don't homosexuals call their union something besides marriage. Marriage is between a man and a woman. They do not label themselves heterosexual to be like everyone else. Nor do they decide who will be the wife and who will be the husband. Why the obsession of the word marriage? Isn't declaring homosexuality about your individualism and difference? Why not have a new word to mean the union of two people in love?It seems that in terms of rights the courts have given everyone the same rights in terms of marriage/civil union.

That when we christian ask a question concerning where things come from, non-believers are quick to reference a scientific PROCESS?The scientific process still doesnt explain where all the stuff came from;it just attempts to explain how the things interact.
The question is where did the stuff actually come or originate from if there was nothing in the beginning? I've only seen one person that actually gave attempted to answer this question. The answer was "well they must of always existed." Let me point out that this answer alludes to God;at the burning bush God told Moses "I Am that I Am"Meaning He always was,always is, and always will be.God is the only one that has always existed;so in a way that answer is admitting to there being a God.
So. Do non-believers actually have a good answer for where the materials actually come from?Dont just tell me about the processes,cuase I've heard it all before. Who can atually put forth an answer for where the materials come from outside of God?

I need a name for my clothing botique that I am willing to open soon. The name has to be very very unique and exclusive, easy to pronounce and remember, stylish yet typically ethnic. I dont mind about the origin of the name. It may be a Indian, French, Arabian, or any other... I would like to showcase my own creation which is absolutely DIFFERENT!!! Our topic next term is animals and we would like someone to come into school to show the children some wildlife or pets, so that they can handle them and hear about their care, habitat and natural living enviornment, We are an inner city school and the children have a very limited experience of animals beyond dogs and cats. This would really help them.

At church, the congregation is served by what I do. God is glorified and the congregation tells me they appreciate my service. The elders & pastors are non-supportive managers. They play favorites and have “clicks” with certain people. It is unfair. On one hand the congregation is blessed, on the other the pastors and elders seem like Pharisees. Would you leave a church over such issues or stay to serve the congregation and ignore the political "junk"? Thanks.

...that basically, in a nice way, tells people that they're in you dog's home, and if they don't like your dog they can leave?

It sounds mean, but it wasn't. I remember seeing it somewhere a LONG time ago in someone's house. It was on a plaque or in a frame and it was written in a cutsey, almost country/Americana kind of way.

Does this ring ANY bells for anyone? I'd love to have this for my house/dog, but I can't remember the poem to even begin to look for it.

I'm looking for personal recommendations on Irish setter breeders. The breeder I used previously was Kenmore. But I can't seem to find anything about them online, so maybe they aren't around anymore.

Yes, I know I can get a list of breeders from AKC. The link is broken for the Irish setter breeder directory. But even so, the names mean nothing to me without personal recommendations.

Please don't bother lecturing me about what Irish setters are like and what I need to do to be a responsible owner for one. I know already; I've had them before.
