I was picked on for a variety of reasons. Being from a poor family(4 brothers and 2 sisters- 4 of the younger siblings with different fathers), having family members commit crimes, acts of violence, and other senseless acts then me having to answer for them, being 5'7'' and a 125 pounds( in fifth grade-10 years old I weight 45 pounds and was 3 feet 3 inches tall). This was throughtout my school years. I went to college, eventually graduated gained about 60 pounds of muscle-no steriods and went back to my ten year reunion and people treated me way different. Partially for the things I accomplished and also believe it or not THEY actually matured a littled.

i was picked on throughout my school years for every reason possible, elementery, JH and then high school it got worse because people are so cruel but even though it bothered me and it hurt a lot i never let them think that they had the best of me..after all that and years later, i changed and people want to come to me to either to be my friend or some guy who dissed me and decides that he wants to be my boyfriend but i do not forget the past, the tables have turned and now i can make people feel bad..remember some of the most tortured people by their peers grow up to be the ones that everybody wants to turn to so if thats the situation dont feel so bad hun..

Oh, I definitely was. I have always had a deeper, rhaspier voice than most women. I would get talked about so bad and teased relentlessly. It wasn't until I got into high school that I really appreciated my voice. I was asked to speak at many school programs because my teachers thought I had a very distinctive voice and encouraged me to go into radio and television for my career. In addition, the boys thought my voice was "sexy." Now I view my voice as my signature quality.

I think we have all gone through a period in our life where we were akward and picked on. I personally think it's better to be akward in high school and then when you're grown up find some good friends and a good job thanks to your hard work while being picked on. The saddest thing for me is to see these people who were popular then being ugly losers now with no future. It is so sad

I was picked on when I was in 8th grade, I was skinny, puffy hair and wore glasses. On the summer, I was finally able to gain a litle weight in the right places(lol) and I got contacts and fixed mu hair. I was popular in high school but I never went out with the guys who made fun of me in middle school.

I was picked on relentlessly in middle school to the point that I even contemplated suicide, but those b*tches weren't worth it anyway. I grew thicker skin in high school and learned the art of standing up for myself.

i was....all through my school years...which is really weird because i couldn't quite Put my finger on why.....the high school i went to was an all girls. what a bunch of absolute bitches...junior school really sucked 2...i was so quiet and very innocent...they were just mean....anyway...i've seen most of my former 'bullys' since and most are unhappy and (dare i say it) quite over weight...i on the other hand would have been the most gorjus of the lot...and i only say that because THEY even said so...that to me, was my triumph. isn't it funny how things work out!
the one that gave me the hardest time at school was in fact the prettiest and wealthiest on our form at the time.....when she saw me years later...she couldn't take her eyes off me..and kept saying..'that is SO not her' my friend who i was with at the time assured her that it was indeed me...the ugly duckling at school had turned into a swan...
THAT was one kick of a confidence booster...
what happened to you? were you picked on also?
good question
cheers.
