can this story be taken as a historical/literal truth? as a christian myself i dont believe so. The meaning of this story is linked to the baptism of christians in the new testament.

do christians agree with me? the same could be said of the flood during noah's time. when we look beyond the literal words of such stories dont you think that we get the real meaning of the bible?

Just watched BBC news, "All religious preachers must now preach only in English"!!! Where does the goverment get this advice from? If I am Muslim I pray to God in Arabic (my God is the same God as your God, there is only one God)
If I am Welsh UK (Christian Welsh) my preacher speaks only Welsh, he and I are very proud of our heratage. and you can stick your English right up where the sun doesnt shine!
Or perhaps you didnt mean Welsh or Galic?
Welsh Nationalists do still exsist if you think you have problems with Islam watch your English a55es.

I am a man with fine hair who likes to look as good as I can. I have had my hair permed and it looks good for four - six weeks but then the perm starts to grow out. My hair stylist suggested setting my hair on small curlers which she did. The result was good and I have continued to set my hair. Some people think I am crazy and it has been suggested that curling a mans hair like that is "not right!" On occasion I have been seen in public with curlers in my hair and there have been some rude remarks and lots of strange looks. So the question is - What is wrong with men wearing hair curlers and what is wrong about going out in public with curlers in a man's hair?

My childrens 14 year old friend is facing being placed into care due to a family crisis. We have known her all of her life and she spends most weekends/evenings at our house, and so my wife and i would be happy for her to come and live with us permanently, does anyone know if we would have to adopt or foster or could she just move in? He told me that when he was a kid, during the school holidays he used to combat boredom by standing at the bus stop ... filling his mouth up with milk and mushed up bread and then, when a bus came along, he would pretend to be sick all over the road. Just so that all the passengers would look at him in disgust.

Isn't that the sickest thing you've ever heard (pardon the pun) ? Quite funny, but how would you ever come up with an idea like that?
