Let's try to give you a hand here---
1) The right answer could be either A or D, depending on what thought you are trying to convey. You would use "whatever" if you are trying to say that your diet includes things like Super Size Big Mac Value Meals, 12-inch Philly Cheese Steak Hoagies (with grilled onions and Cheeze Whiz...the traditional Philly style), banana creme pie, and buckets of Atomic Wings from Quaker Steak and Lube, but you don't gain any weight Using "D" would mean that you chow down all day long, but your weight stays the same.

2) "C" is the best answer here. This usage of the word "while" implies a difference of opinion. Here, the person speaking understands your point of view, however, he agrees (at least partially) with the your parents' opinion, which is different from yours.

3) "B" is your answer here. The speaker here wants to give the impression that the "he" in the sentence is older that fifty, and not by a few weeks or months, either. "Very" is used the same way when talking about a quality, but "well" is used when talking about a quantity...example: "He is very wealthy," is correct, but the proper sentence would be "His net worth is well over $75 million." You would say, "It's very cold outside," or "The thermometer is well below zero right now."

So--I would say go for 1--A or D, 2--C, and 3--B

Hope that helps.

1. Eat is an Action, What you eat is important in this question. Don't get hung up on the words, look for the flow of the sentence first. D is wrong

2. D? Are you kidding? Have you learnt nothing? What part of the past and present don't you understand?. Read the question again. Here is a clue, this question is "time based".

3. I think Very is an adverb, Well is being used as descriptive, Quite is subjective and Rather is pompus *** bullshit that no Ozzie would ever use when speaking about another person.

DDC is wrong, and if you choose to cheat rather than learn, then you don't deserve the accreditation you are searching for.

Of course, maybe the testing system is all wrong, how can you know a language, other than your own, until you have learnt it properly?

A because it's not how many times you eat but how much and what you eat which puts on weight

A Cannot be anything else. "While" at the beginning of a sentence would be spelt "whilst". Therefore the answer has to be since

B Can't be anything else.

As I guess we invented the language, I'm as certain as I can be that I'm right.
