Hygiene is very important in the Muslim world so they invented and manufactured soap - centuries before the West - and hundreds of bathhouses were built throughout Muslim cities. They understood the fundamentals of light and how we see, and gave us the camera obscura. They invented algebra and worked out the angle of the tilt of the earth. They built the first windmill, pioneered the concept of the crank rod, and designed the first ever torpedo.

I need some serious help here, i'm really confused...

I need the equilibrium interest rate I(r)

here is the given information:

Y = C + I + G
Y = 5,000
G = 1,000
T = 1,000
C= 250 + .75(Y - T)
I = 1,000 - 50r

According to my textbook,
Y - C(Y - T) - G = I(r)

so:
5000 - 250 + .75(5000 - 1000) - 1000 = I(r)
=5000 - 250 + 3000 - 1000
=4750 + 2000
=6750

doesn't make sense...

and then i'm not even sure if i have to do this or not but i tried it

set that equal to the given I which is 1000 - 50r

6750 = 1000 - 50r

subtract 1000 =

6750 = -50r

divide by -50

= -135... whats going on here please give me some help...

When I was 9 years old my sister and my neice moved in with my parents because her husband died and she needed help at the time. Well, I ended up taking care of her quite a bit while my sister was at work. I used to hop in the bath tub with her and we'd take bubble baths and I would bathe her and we would have so much fun. We did that together all the time together til she and my sister finally moved out and got married again which was when she was 8, Well, I'm married now but my neice is coming to visit us for a few days and I was thinking it would be so much fun to take a bubble bath together. I told my mom this and she thinks this might not be a good idea because it might seem inappropriate now, but my husband doesn't see anything wrong with it since we are both girls. I believe it is a way girls bond.

This is an after-thought from my previous question, about the Jews. Could we have an intelligent debate about this? As a Western European, I don't understand why Muslims and Jews can't see their common humanity, the common roots in their religions, their common ancestors. We are ALL people, with the same concerns about our families, our homes, our contentment. Is it possible to take the politics out of a question like this, and talk as people? Wouldn't it be a great stride forward? Am I naive, or stupid, or missing something? No abuse, please. Let's talk intelligently.

By increasing the the health and thus life expectancy of humans are we not just setting ourselves up for future problems. With more people on the planet, more jobs will be needed, more homes will be needed, more food will be needed, thus leading to more deforestation and use of the planets resources. Shouldn't we therefore be focusing money and research on improving quality of life rather than longevity! Furthermore, with more people on the planet we will become more stressed due to overcrowding and overcrowding is more likley to allow diseases/viruses to spread more rapidly, thus killing off more of human life!!

I ride a bus from school, it contains high schoolers & middle schoolers. The middle schoolers are a big gang of preps who think they're soo cool. They talk to high schoolers like we're 3 years younger than them & they treat one paticular girl very rudely. This girl sings, she sits & sings on the bus like crazy. She didn't before, infact i think she does it because she was made to. & now, she just does it all the time. I know a 7th grader who was the main person who makes her look like an idiot, she use to sit there, tell everyone to shut up & listen & make fun of her. I didn't laugh or look & her at point, i sat there like a mature person would & ignored her. Anyhow... it's been a couple of weeks & now it's just getting annoying, & the girl that encouraged her tells her to "shut up" or say something mean to make her stop like "you suck at singing" i want her to stop because i have no other way of transpertation, but then again, i want all of those ppl who sit there & laugh to suffer.
