If the same carbon surface is irradiated with light of =175.7 nm, what is the maximum kinetic energy that a released electron could have?

On NPR's program the World on Oct 3 there was something said about a guy who said that the black Africans were not responsible for the apartite in South Africa, the minority government was. And the Iraqis are not responsible for the genocide of Sadam Hussein because he was a tyrannical dictator. But he said that Americans are responsible for the actions of George Bush because we have an "open democratic society". I'm trying to find out who was stupid enough to say such a thing (mostly because America is NOT a democratic society (ruled by the people)...it is a republic society (ruled by representatives) The idea that some yahoo is blaming me for what Bush does is just infuriating.
I know NPR will let you listen to the programs but it wont play on my computer (for reasons beyond my understanding) It was broadcast during the listener comments portion...so I'm not sure if it was a listener’s comment or a listener responding to what someone else said.

Last year, I was a victim of a well-known work bully. She is a boss, and she rules by instilling fear. Everyone at this place knows she is a bully. She picks out people, scrutinises them and puts them on a "development plan" which she monitors until she gets bored and gives up or gets rid of them. Last year, she gave me a lot of stress by scrutinizing me when I was having family problems (bereavement). She offered me counselling. All I needed was to be left alone for a bit but she made me think my job was on the line and gave me a development plan, which meant spending a lot of time with a "mentor" to deal with petty issues which I was more than capable of dealing with myself. She systematically picks off people and puts them onto such "development plans". She demeans people and humiliates them. The problem is, she does the big boss's dirty work for him. What can we do?!?

The bible contains the word hell, which was the name of the norse goddess of the underworld. Hell was not originally part of chirstianity. Originally the bible contained, in the Old Testament, Sheol, which is the hebrew word for the Grave, and in the New Testament, Geheena. Geheena was a landfill outside Jerusalem where the city's trash, and the bodies of executed criminals were burned. Thus the stories of the flames of hell filled with the damned.
