i want to know the correct way of using "argent"(french word for money). do u say "de l'argent" or "d'argent". thank u ppl

ex: je veux qu'elle me donne de l'argent/ d'argent.

In your sentence, de l'argent is correct.
But.... both are correct depending on what your sentence is. There are rules of when to use de l'argent and when to use d'argent. The easiest way to remember which to use is this:
Normally when you say "some money" you use "de l'argent"
Eg. I need some money -J'ai besoin de l'argent.
Can you give me some money?- Tu peux me donner de l'argent?
When you use negative, you use "d'argent"
Eg. I have no money - Je n'ai pas d'argent.
He didn't have any money. - Il n'avait pas d'argent.
Also, when you would use "of money" instead of "some money" you use "d'argent". Whenever there are words describing the quantity or the amount of money it is "d'argent"
Eg. I have a lot of money. - J'ai plein d'argent/J'ai beaucoup d'argent. I only have a little bit of money. - Je n'ai qu'un petit peu d'argent.
Also, when something is made of "silver" we say it is "en argent".
To sum it up, easiest way to remember is:
some money - de l'argent
of money (lots of, a little bit of...blah blah) - d'argent
negative - (no money, haven't any...) - d'argent

Here is also a way to help you see they difference:

when you mean:

"some" money = de l'argent
"of" money = d'argent
"some" silver= de l'argent
"of" silver = d'argent
"in" silver = en argent

I want her to give me some money...=
Je veux qu'elle me donne de l'argent...

You would say : j'ai besoin d'argent.... not "de l'argent"

I'm in need of money....= J'ai besoin d'argent.....

yeah i do
they are both correct but they mean completely different things.
for money:
- when you use de l'argent you are talking about using SOME money (what you want to know)
- you can use d'argent but that is when you're talking about a bit of, a lot of... (anything) of money.
anything else:
- when you use d'argent, you are talking about silver, the material, like you can say un medaillon fait d'argent which means a medallion made out of silver.
