yes, and actually my local news channel even said today that over-coverage of events like this can cause children more anxiety when dealing with this sort of thing. Yet they recap the story at least 3 times an hour.
and obviously, they have no respect for the Amish. They are a very modest people, people who don't like to be in the media and in the spotlight.
It truly is a tragedy. I live about a half hour from where it happened, I know the type of community and the type of people. It's devastating to think that something like that could happen so close by, and that there have been so many school shootings recently.
If there are new developments, fine, share them.. otherwise, leave it alone.

I don't think that they're reporting it too much, this is just the last of the shootings there have been in the past week. If it were any other place, they would be reporting this to death too, so it's not cause of the Amish, although it is the last place you would suspect something like this would happen. As far as the fact that the Amish can't watch it. They ARE watching it, they saw it happen right in their backyards.

Yes and No. All school shooting recieve a lot of media attention. This one is so horrible because it happened to the Amish. They are wonderful people and did not deserve having such a tragic thing occur to them.

Not really. I feel that it is a very serious occurrence because it seems so random. At the same, this is the third school shooting in the last week or so.

ABSOLUTELY!!! I was thinking that exact thing tonight. The guy went and bought his "supply's the day after the Colorado shooting. We can only hope the sickos aren't getting into these stories and wanting to make up their very own versions. It almost glorifies them, not to us, but to the sick mind.

no, the more we advance in move along with times, the faster we can deal with issues or faults in humans. media exposes these that where covered up before we had so much exposure, this is a sick sad world, and we should know whats going on to try and protect out selves and others , and try and seek help for those who cry out for it.. God help us!

I live quite close to where the shooting took place and we are just mortified by the events in general. I want to be kept up to date on the situation. I pray that the little girls that are struggling for their lives make it through this horrible slaughter of the innocent.
