I run a nonprofit arts presenting organization w/ an annual operations budget of about ½ million. Our earned to unearned income ratio is 55 / 45%. I have a terrific group of volunteers that are pretty dedicated when it comes to going out and beating the bushes for $50 to $100 donations from individuals. My experience however, has been that in the wake of 9-11 and more recently, last year’s tsunami and hurricane Katrina, charitable giving to arts programming has dropped significantly. Furthermore, over the last couple of years, the efforts of my committee have begun to grow a little stale, and it is starting to be reflected in our bottom line.

Here is my dilemma: I want to breathe some new life into their fundraising efforts. We’ve added some new committee members, made our direct mail campaign a little more edgy, but I keep thinking that if we want to see dramatic results, we need to make some dramatic changes.

Has anyone done any recent fundraising events that have surpassed expectations? We’ve done the black-tie galas, and golf tournaments, and we’ll continue to do person-to-person contact, but I’d really like to hit on something unique, interesting and fun.

They say it takes a hundred ideas to come up with one great one, so I’m listening… (or technically, reading)

Is it any way that i could see a doctor withouth my parents being with me? Because i recently took home pregnancy tests and they all came out negative, but i still havent gotten my period for this month. I want to go see a doctor about getting a blood test to find out am i pregnant or not......because im getting so worried. So is there any way that i could go to the doctor with out having insurance? Please help! im getting worried and scared.

I cant kinda carry myself properly. As in, there is this one person whom I have been observing carefully in my college. People always rush around him, want to talk to him, girls adore him, gets mobbed and I always come SECOND to him in the class. How should I conduct myself that ppl came approach me, make the 1st move to talk to me, fall in awe with me and girls like me.

I need your help
Can you please tell me who sings the song "cry" it is 2 males singing it and it is driving me absolutely crazy...

Okay it has been about 1 week that we havent talked. We didnt leave in bad terms. His excuse is that he works and goes to school so he barely has time to talk to me. But the weekend comes and he has time for his friends. I havent called him becuase everytime I do he is either busy or working. I just want an opionion on what is bound to happen is this the end. wakes up, and the only way to make her go back to sleep is giving her a pacifier. Then, about 4am, she'll wake up, and after that, every 30 minutes, i get up every time and give her the pacifier, but I'm worried that something else is wrong... She already has 2 teeth out, and it looks like she has more coming out, could that be the reason? Or perhaps a growth spurt is making her hungry? if so, should i feed her? i mean, the pediatrician told me not to feed her at night anymore, but what if that's causing harm? He's the doctor, but I want to her a opinions from parents! Thanks!
