Christ said if you love me then love your neighbor, but then he whipped the money changers and tax collectors out of the temple. A mixed message if there ever was one. I prefer the Confucian Ideas, Like Fool Me once shame on you, fool me twice and I am gonna get you sucka.

We are all born sinners. Forgiveness for the sins that we commit is through Jesus Christ's sacrificial death. He was the only sinless man ever.

Even Christians mess up. When we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior and repent (turn away from sin). He forgives us. We are His children and have God's grace. It is our duty to do our best to live our lives as an example to others.

When you feel like loosing your temper or acting violently, go to God about it. He loves you and He will help you. God bless

Hi!

Let the truth be spoken...It is sin to lose your temper and to act violently...

I guess your next question would be "how come many Christians on Y!Answers bash do these things...that is because possibly "salvation" has never occurred in their hearts in the first place...If it did, there would be grace in their words at the same time, uncompromising hatred for evil.

I don't expect a pretender who calls himself a "Christian" to be patient and calm because "salvation" never occured in his heart...no matter how many times he says "I'm Christian", "I grew up in a Christian family", "I was born a Christian", "I grew up in a Christian church",." these are indirect statements that embarrace him and confirm that salvation never really occurred in his heart... for a Child of God knows that Christianity is not a religion BUT A DAILY RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD THE HOLY SPIRIT.

I am not saying that those who say these words are phoney-Christians...all I am saying is that it is about time people quit "religionizing" Christianity for it is not a religion but a relationship with the person of the Holy Spirit.

But if a TRUE CHRISTIAN LOOSE HIS TEMPER, HE OUGHT TO APOLOGISE to GOD and to the offended...

Christians do sin but they have the grace of forgiveness through the Blood of Jesus Christ...that's the difference!A saint is a forgiven sinner who hates his sin and have access to the Blood of Jesus for cleansing...

1John 2:1 "My little children, I am writing these things to you so that you may not sin. But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous."

Hug!

It is not a sin to be angry, but to sin while you are angry, meaning to act violently is a sin. If you are a true Christian and are filled with the Holy Spirit, the fruits of the Spirit are love, peace, joy, self-control, patience, and righteousness. And do not let the sun go down while you are still angry. Take care of your anger issues before you go to sleep or you will give the devil a foothold.

Yes.. If you are forced to take violent action, ie self defense then you don't do it without reason.
What Jesus did in the temple he did reasonably.. He didn't just lose his temper and he was not out of control although from the outside it might appear so.. The people were wrong and it was his Father's house and they needed to be thrown out.. So he did..

Well, I don´t think it's a sin, but if you are a christian person, you have to try to correct your temper because your life and the way you live is a living testimony for others. Ask God for help.

Remember, we are just humans, and as a humans we are not perfect, but our Father understands and loves us just the way we are.

Loosing you temper and acting violently is a sin against the victim(s) and against yourself, no matter what religion you are, and even if you have no religion at all.

The Pope said that violence is contary to the divine nature, and has globally challenged Islam for not being true to itself. Since Muslems are forbidden to contextual criticism, they have taken offense to an outsider telling them that Islam has deviated from Islam.

But it has, as we see in state sponsored genocide occuring right now in Islamic run Sudan.

Every human has a temper, and it's a responsibility of us all to try to control it. It doesn't matter what religion you are. Where would society be if everyone blew a gasket and pounded on each other?
