Now consider each of the following factors: geography, health, investment in human capital, colonialism and the development of institutions, political instability, democracy, the rule of law, trade. Which do you think are the most critical in terms of solving Africa’s current crisis? Many of these factors are interdependent but part of the puzzle is figuring out which factor drives all the others. A blonde suspected her boyfriend of cheating on her, so she went out and bought a gun. She went to his apartment unexpectedly and when she opened the door she found him in the arms of a redhead.
Well, the blonde is really angry. She opened her purse to take out the gun, and as she does so, she is overcome with grief. She took the gun and put it to her head. The boyfriend yelled, "No, honey, don't do it!!!"
The blonde replied, "Shut up ... you're next!"

I'm not talking about countries with civil wars and the like. I mean for a nation at peace within its borders.

With the influence she has, I think Oprah, if she hasn't already, should get a masters degree in social work, counselling or psychology. EVERYTHING she says is accepted as the gospel truth and if she gives advice, for example, to a rape victim, she should give the RIGHT kind of advice, otherwise she could end up saying the wrong thing and cause more harm than good because she IS NOT AN EXPERT or PROPERLY TRAINED in COUNSELLING SERVICES....

I have been experiencing a dull pain in my abdomen from belly button up. I have been very stressed lately. The pain is hard to explain like my muscles just dont want to let up. Very tender to push on, also have been having cramping, could this be due to stress? Also been constipated and not going like i use to. Could i have strained something in my stomach while trying to "go" and does this sound like pain caused by stress?

I think it will be Uli if she doesn't come up with something that doesn't look totally different from all the other flowery, hippy stuff that is her trademark.

It's getting down to the nitty gritty! I like all of these guys, now that Kayne's gone. But I hope Michael wins.

I've been reading all the newspapers banging on about how kids these days are eating too much crappy food, spending too much time in front of the TV and playing computer games and how bad it is for them socially.

The reports suggest that our children will grow up not understanding the world and not being able to function properly.

What's the big deal? When we were kids, we ate proper food and played outside and we've grown up to be arseholes. You may not have noticed, but humanity is on the brink of self-extinction. Could there not be an argument that these fat kids of ours, with their 3-second attention spans and violent tendencies just MIGHT do a better job of running the world than we are?
