I heard something about him being out for the rest of the season but I never caught what happened.

He started the game on Wednesday, and in the 3rd inning, he said he felt a "pop" in his left elbow, and left the game in pain. They did an MRI, and the results should be know later today (Thursday). He probably will be out for the rest of the season.
He would have been a big help for the Twins to take the division. But, before his return, the Twins were still doing good and gaining on Detroit. It would have been easier to take the division with him in the lineup, but I think they can still do it without him.

The Twins front office better hope they didn't screw this kid up for the rest of his career by trying to bring him back too soon.
Elbow issues are very serious when it comes to pitching.
As a Yankee fan I've seen it way too often, with that pansy, Carl Pavano. Liriano had a shooting pain in his elbow and hopefully he'll be back next year

all I heard is that he's re-injured,and he'll be out for the rest of the season..which is poor for the Twins! but good news for the YANKEES if the Twins going to the playoff...!

He blew his arm out again. Left the game in the third inning and is done for the season.
