The lighter the chocolate, the more cream and sugar it has in it (that's where the lightness comes from)---so the more calories it has. Pretty simple, eh?

You wouldn't want to eat unsweetened chocolate (cocoa) because it's very bitter. Dark chocolate (between 70-80% cocoa) is a good compromise. It's sweet enough to enjoy, but with much fewer calories than milk (or white!) chocolate.

Dark chocolate. White chocolate isn't really chocolate, it's made with the coating of the cocoa bean and cocoa butter and has more fattening cream. Dark Chocolate is actually quite good for you it has antioxidants that fight cancer, it has plant phenols that lower blood pressure and it's lower in fat. I think it tastes better too.. but that's a personal preference.

Dark chocolate is much healthier[but the really dark kind]and its actually quite good for you in small doses.Not fattening either.

Dark is healthier- it has more antioxidants- helps keep cells from rusting and white cocoa=hah! is the wax off the bean- D
