Web 2.0 is a buzzword applied to websites that feature ways for users to contribute content and share information with each other. These second-generation websites typically have rich user interfaces that more resemble desktop applications than traditional websites.

Web 3.0 doesn't exist yet.

I'd say Web 3.0 is the updated version of Web 2.0 !!!

A quick search threw up very little. However it seems that "Web 3" is being used by companies who want a product name to seem technologically advanced as in web3 camera or web 3 software.

I shall watch this one with interest.

There is no difference because neither exist (assuming you value the opinion of Sir Tim Berners-Lee, who created the application that grew into the WWW that we know today, and who directs the WWW consortium that fixes many of the commonly used web standards).
