Why do you think so many marriages fail now a days?

What has changed in the past 50's years that has caused the divorce rate to rise?

My grandparents have been married for over 50 years, my parents have been married for 28 years, and they are genuinely HAPPY.

I have so many friends my age (mid 20's) that are already divorced!

What is going on?

(I have been with my husband for 5 years, married for 2 and still happy, even planning to get pregnant soon!)

I believe that there are many things that American's want for their country but will never admit it. I'll add my two points and you can agree or disagree. And please feel free to add you own points and people who answer this please feel free to answer toward these new points as well.

First, I believe most American's feel it's safer for the war to be on foreign soil than on the US soil. Better that Iraqis and our soldiers (who are not usually our best and brightest) die than we die. It's not PC but that's seems to be the general unsaid concensus among people.

Second, we need illegal immigration. Just like in many movies and in the past, we need "slave" labor, people who are willing to do the jobs we don't want to do at prices we will never work for. The savings in pay goes to the companies which eventually gets to us although after the rich have already taken their portion. Think of it as the grease that makes our society run smoothly.

We have a couple of employees who have the potential to work beyond what they show us. My husband, who is their boss, has talked to them several, several times about the same thing and there doesn't seem to be any lasting change. Firing them isn't an option right now, as we are a Christian business and know that if we do fire them they will just take the problem with them to their next job.

What types of consequences would be fair to measure out to them for not listening and not doing what they are told? I know that we can send them home without pay, but I was looking for some other creative consequences as well.

PLEASE DON'T TELL ME TO FIRE THEM BECAUSE THAT IS NOT ONE OF THE OPTIONS WE HAVE AT THIS TIME.

Other cell phones I've had in the past have a one-touch key (i.e., press and hold the * key and your phone will vibrate instead of ring). The only way I have been able to turn my Razr to vibrate is to turn the ringer volume all the way down to the "vibrate" setting. There has to be an easier way!

Why do you bash the Christian faith only? Of the many questions I've seen in this category, most of them BASH the Christian faith. Why not bash the Scientology faith as well? To be quite honest, I think it makes MORE sense to believe in the Christian faith than in the Scientology faith (since science has PROVEN over and over again that the Bible is accurate, where Science has yet to prove Scientology). But that is just my personal opinon....

hi i am 16 and recently lost my viginity to my bf about 2 months ago and we have had sex 6 times since we used a condom every time but the first. i have never had my period my mom was late too not getting hers till she was about my age and my aunt had her first period at 17. So the other day I thought I'd play a little joke on the wife, I put a tiny bit of super-glue on each of her nipples while she slept, just to see what would stick to them. Well.. approx. 2 months ago (or so it seems) my ex girlfriend and i broke up. long story short, it was a fiery, painful, bitter experience. and i admit i'm not really over it... ...the question is... my brother talks to her occasionally.. and it really makes me uncomfortable. is it wrong for me to request that my brother doesn't talk to her? or is it "socially" acceptable.
