To me, that phrase is insulting.

I'm considered skinny by some at 5"6/110 lbs. Because I don't have "curves", does this mean I am a transexual in women's clothing? Aren't some "curves" mostly shaped by bones? E.g. slightly wider hip bones + a small tummy can give one a curvy shape!

And just because my boobs are a size B not D, does that mean I am not womanly enough? At what size or level of "curviness" exactly does a girl become "WOMANLY"? And when did fat become the sole sign of womanliness?

Isn't that phrase a way to make big girls feel better by putting skinny people down? Why can't we all be more confident about ourselves without stepping over other people's confidence?

Why can't people agree both skinny AND big girls can be sexy? It doesn't have to be one way or the other. I don't know why a guy has to be "brainwashed by the media" because he likes a skinny girl.

So, I know the quote is a confidence booster to some but is it really fair to use?

Thanks.

I took my son to his first day of pre-k. There was one mother there who looked like she had just rolled out of bed and brought her child to school. She had a tank top on with no bra, some nasty little shorts on and her hair looked like it hadn't been washed in a week. I think parents owe it to thir children not to humiliate them. I mean kids are mean...I can only imagine what kids might have said to that child about the way his mother looked. She kept bending over and you could see her boobs! What is with people these days?! Anyway...that was last Thursday. Today I see the same woman, in the same tank top and shorts looking the same way!

I think it's because Santa Claus they only hear about at one time of the year and they hear about God and Jesus every week if not every day. Repetition makes it stick in their heads more and seem more real until finally it is to them.

What do you think the reason is?

This headline appears in a future edition of Yahoo news, Biological Immortality, fact or fiction ? Its being discussed now as a possibilty, would you like to live more than 3,000 years/forever ? if so how do we achieve it and how do we support the lives of the indefinite retirees on earth, do we send them to space Colonies on other planets as earths population grows exponentially or do we build more International Space Stations ? is Android Man a real possibilty/alternative ?
