Mankind is too limited in its thinking and its resources to be able to maintain a population of extremely long-lived people, no matter how well preserved they are. Unless their health was excellent, the cost of medical expenses / insurance would bankrupt us all almost immediately. Overpopulation would destroy the earth unless we stopped giving birth immediately and you *KNOW* that will *NOT* happen. No, I don't want to live that long -- terminal boredom, terminal aggravation at the terminal stupidity of mankind -- even Yahoo Answers can't cure all that!!

I do believe the aging problem will be solved in the next 50 yrs.
This will also solve the retiree problem as there will be no more
retirees....People will simply have to keep working to support
themselves until they can accumulate enough money to stop.
And yes, I believe that Androids are also probable though not as
a substitute or alternative for immortal humans..
