Couldn't we fix the social security "crisis" by implementing progressive taxation? Or taxing major corporations? Or even cutting a little military spending? The government could support the baby boomers through day cares, elementary schools, and high schools. In fact, there was a huge increase in funding for schools and other childrens' programs in the 60's. And we're actually richer now than we were then, can't we support them through retirement? Why attack social security?

Am a 26 year old male who is about getting married to a 23 year old friend. At the last counseling session we been attending, we both found out that we have blood group or something relating to blood As, and are currently facing stiff resistance by both family, church, society to getting married.They reason being that we would have children that have sickle cells and might die at tender age.It’s almost a taboo in where we live for people with "As" blood type/group to get married, even the government campaigns against it.
What is sickle cell? Who is a carrier? How can we go around it because I don’t think I would ever live with any other person except Tosin

I live in New Jersey but attend college (Washington University) in Missouri, so I'm there at least seven months a year. also i'm curious as to the political tendencies of the state as a whole, as wikipedia does not have an article on missouri politics. thanks

I've read a bunch of different papers on it, and it seems to pretty full of holes, but I think it's because nobody has ever done a good job of explaining it to me. I understand that Einstein said nothing can accelerate up to the speed of light. I understand that if you put a watch on an airplane there is a difference in how fast it ticks. But I'm still not exactly sure why, or how Einstein thought of that. Keep it simple if possible I don't feel like reading a bunch of equations.

Everyone has made the odd fashion faux pas, when you look back at old photos do you cringe and wonder why anyone let you out of the house looking like that? I wore leg warmers in the 80's and ear muffs, and have made many fashion errors, but ear muffs have got to be the worst ever!
