R the Vadicans really holding part of the bible from us?

I heard that the Vadicans are holding parts of the dead sea scrolls from everyone and won't let them read it or tell them what it says. Is that true? I have always wondered. Can someone give me a quick run down of the dead sea scrolls of where they are and who has them...maybe a website or something...thank you

Windows XP slowing way down, tried fixing it and it slows down even more?

Trying to figure out how to speed this sysytem up. I tried stopping all programs from start up but it just seems to slow the system even more and now i am just trying to get it back to what it was. Any suggestions? main problem is that programs keep freezing up, i.e. IE, messengers and the like. I am tired of the problems on this computer. My other comp works fine and speed is great but this one just slows even more with each day that passes.

If the Christian martyrs to face off against the Muslim martyrs in hand-to-hand combat, who would win?

I think the Christians would win. The Muslim martyrs can only fight with guns, and they're too suicidal. The Christian martyrs have experience fighting lions, so they would probably own the Muslims hard. What do you think?

Is anyone else having serious mail issues? Anybody know anything?

Don't give me crap about posting in the Government section, because USPS is a gov't agency.

We've been expecting mail from Austria for weeks now, and it typically gets here in about 6-10 days. The odd thing is that for the past week and a half, the PO Box has been COMPLETELY empty.
In another instance, I was expecting a package from South Africa. Two or three months later, I hear it came back "Return to Sender," and apparently the postmark says it DID reach the US.
So this guy I live with is ranting, and says Bush got busted spying on people. I missed that headline. What did I miss?
There's a woman I know a few states over who has business mail returned when she knows the addresses are correct and current. WHAT IS THE DEAL?

Anyone have ANY idea what's up with the US mail system lately???

What kind of Ebay scam is this? Help?

Ok, I sold a Creative Zen Multimedia player on the 17 August to thio guy and sent it special registered delivery cos it's worth over £200. The guy then said he didn't get it despite the fact it shows online it was received and signed for. He also bought a PSP player from another ebayer on the same day then contacted him to say the same thing "I didn't get it" . After paying us, he closed his paypal account? His phone number is invalid, he doesn't reply to emails. do you reckon he:
1)Either hijacked someone's paypal account to pay us
2) Used a stolen credit card to pay us in which case we are liable to pay back the credit card company as we don't have seller protection. We sent to an "unconfirmed paypal address" which I wasn't aware of.
3) He is the person who own the credit card but is just trying to get both the goods and the money.
I've reported him to paypal and ebay but I really can't work it out. For example if he wanted back his money.. why close down his paypal account?

is there any way i can protect my book concept?

the material is already copyrighted. the concept is quite unique. my fear is if i send to publishers and they reject it, that they still could steal the concept assign it to another artist. if this were to happen, i would not get any credit for the idea and face competition. i know it is impossible to copyright an idea...is there any other way?

Where would you go for computer repair, upgrades, etc?

If you needed some computer work or upgrades, where would you go to get it done?...would you try and do it yourself, go to a computer store, hire a friend or family member?...I am asking this out of curiosity and as research for my business.
