I have heard of catholics,baptists,mormans,jahova witnesses and many many more forms of it and most of them claim that they are right and others are wrong so if others are wrong and only one religion is right who is the true body of Christ?

Speciifcally I want to find a book that explores why it is that people seem to allow the government more and more leeway in it's actions -- as the govt lies more, as it kills more, is there a parallel in this tolerance in the public to the decline of the idea of law -- ie: Simpson evading murder conviction -- less and less respect for or interest in the rule of law. The Supreme Courts essentially going politically rather than lawfully in pushing Bush into government...

Hypothetically, let’s say I’m golfing and I’m in the fairway, someone hits from another direction and hits me and I receive an injury (use your imagination). Can I sue (with a chance of winning) the golf course or the actual golfer themselve? Or is it once I step onto the course I have acknowledged that the course will not be liable for any injury acquired while golfing, same to the golfer who hit me?

It was to warn about the effects of drink driving (I was just back from a party but wasn't driving, I am pretty adamant about that).. there was this picture of a gorgeous girl who was horrifically burned in a car accident when a drunk driver smashed into them. Now I can't get the image out of my mind and feel physically sick every time I get in the car. I haven't been driving since I saw it and even as a passenger I sweat and feel sick on a journey longer than about 5 minutes. I feel so terrified something like that could happen to me and so sorry for the poor girl... can anyone give me tips to get over this please???

I disagree with a lot of Christians on a lot of parts of the Bible. For example: i don't think Romans 1:26-27 or the story of Sodom says anything about homosexuality (just an example).

When i try to talk about this with Christians, or ask questions about it on this forum here, the most answers i recieve are: 'you obviously don't understand, read the Bible'.

Problem is: i did read that book, even several times. It doesn't even take much intellect to understand that book.

So, my main question here is: why does a group of Christians think they own the intellectual right on interpreting the Bible?
